Chip wasn't so pleased about the idea of having so many other people to shoot as well, but hey, he could always get Ace alone eventually, he was sure. He might be able to persuade him for a more... artistic shooting.
So he smiled.
"I'm game," he said with a wink. "My camera and me both. How shall we organise it, then? I've got a small studio downtown near the magazine house I'm working for, I could do the shooting there."

"You have your own studio?" Ace's eyes gleamed with an excited twinkle. "I'll tell Sparky about it, I'll introduce you to her today. Maybe I'll come down and check out your studio tonight after school's over. That is, unless you're busy." Ace hadn't been sure earlier if he'd slot Chip in to his schedule tonight, but with the promise of photography, it was too exciting a prospect to turn down. He always did love pictures of himself anyway, maybe he'd let Chip shoot a few tonight.

Now, that comment did absolutely save Chip's day. He could hardly contain his beaming as he smiled to Ace. Heck, even if he would have had something planned, he would have cancelled.
"Oh, I'm not busy," he said. "Why do you suppose I'm out here lounging in the cafeteria during working hours?" He grinned. "And how could I possibly be busy if such a gorgeous model is actually finding the time to pay a visit to my humble little studio?"

Ace smiled, casually flicking Chip's arm with his hand. "Oh stop it, you'll make me blush." Ace glanced down at his watch, making a note of the time. There was still a good amount of time left before second period started, which pleased him. Now if only he could get Chip somewhere alone without it being too obvious. Unfortunately, that likely wasn't about to happen anytime soon.
Chase shook his head at Ace and Chip, amazed that they were being so obvious. He smacked Ace on the shoulder, leaning down to whisper in his ear. "Calm the hormones, kid." He sat back up, smiling as Ace looked his way and rolled his eyes before grinning.
"So are you still modelling for Sparky too? You know you and I could make for some awfully nice pictures." Ace winked, knowing that he wasn't really giving Chase a choice. Whenever he wanted something out of his best friend, he always got it. And a professionally taken gorgeous photo of he and Chase was very near the top of that list.
"Yeah, I suppose if you want me to. After all, I suppose I do take nice pictures." Chase smiled. After all, if he did shoot pictures for Sparky, it would give him an opportunity to hang out with Moki, something he always enjoyed.

Chip smiled, rather intrigued by the idea of getting Ace and Chase together in a photo. He could just think of a position where to put them in - of course that would be out of the question but a guy can always dream.
"You plan the crew, I take the pictures," he said with a shrug. "I'll shoot anything you like - well, almost anything, anyway." He shuddered as he recalled one of his one night stands that had got a bit too excited about the idea of getting to pose for the camera.

Ace quirked an eyebrow back at Chip, wondering if he'd divulge that particular story if he asked him about it later. "Well I'm sure we'll find lots of lovely poses for you to shoot. If not us, Sparky is rather creative when it comes to the boys. For a lesbian, she sure does enjoy watching guys all over other guys. I keep telling her she's a closet straight girl, the same way Chase is a closet gay boy. I prefer to be right in the middle, fun from both angles." Ace grinned at his comment, knowing that Chase was probably fighting back a groan.

Chip smiled a little. He had to admire the kid for being so straightforward about it. Well, he supposed things were a little bit easier here than they had been where he had lived for the largest part of his life, but he still couldn't imagine being so open about his sexual orientation. Well, he recognised he was being openly flirtatious with guys as well as girls, but had it not been for Ace, he probably would have flirted just as shamelessly with the girls as he did with him.
And had his father been there, he would not have flirted with guys at all.
"I see," he said, not being able to say more at that particular moment. The pain that occasionally came there for knowing that he would never have a happy home struck him unexpected and hard. Suddenly he didn't feel like eating his muffin to the end.
"Oh, look at the time," he said after glancing at the clock. "I think I ought to get back to my office. I was planning to... do some things there before lunch."
He drank his coffee to the end and grabbed the muffin, standing up a little too abruptly to appear completely normal.

Ace looked questioningly at Chip, wondering what had set him off. Was it his continued flirting with Chase? Was it rubbing Chip the wrong way? He felt compelled to get up and follow Chip to his office, but that would be entirely too obvious. Instead he stayed where he was, looking up at him as he left. "Well then, I guess I'll see you later. Sorry to keep you from whatever work it is you were planning." He smiled, deciding to go and find him at lunch, if he'd be around. Maybe he'd have a talk with Lark during next period and get her to do some investigating of Chip, she was quite good at getting to know people, especially their oddities and habits.

Chip looked at Ace, smiling, before he left.
"My door is always open for you," he said. He hoped Ace might have followed him, but he was sure that the blonde wouldn't. It wouldn't suit his "cool" nor would it suit the school board that thought staff and students should stay clear off each other.
So he simply started walking off, trying to clear out his head.

Ace smiled back, raising his hand to wave goodbye. "I'll remember that for later, because you just never know when you'll have problems with a computer." He watched as Chip walked away, turning to face Chase. "Well now, that was awfully productive. Sparky will love him as a photographer, and she will love me for finding him. Life is good." He looked across the table at Chloe, smiling her way. Maybe he'd ask Chip if he wouldn't mind coming along to a get together with a bunch of his friends to take pictures? He didn't have many good pictures of every together, and with Chip being a photographer, the opportunity to get some nice pictures was certainly good.
"Wake up out of dreamworld, Ace." Chase laughed as he looked at Ace, shaking his head. He too looked back over at Chloe. "So, what class do you have next Chlo? Anything exciting?"

Chloe didn't bother to hide the amusement that was dancing in her green eyes. The idea of making out in the middle of the cafeteria with Ace was a pleasant thought, not to mention pleasant otherwise too. The blond certainly had a way about him. No wonder everyone adored him so. Than Chase had to go and disapprove, not that it surprised her. But really what claims did he have to her anyway? Last she checked they were nothing more than friends, if they were even really that. She certainly wasn't good for his reputation and his parents didn't seem to care for her in the least.
Chloe mused, "No making out? Well drat. Been a slow morning all the way around. Besides it's not like the old man here," Chloe motioned towards Chase with her head, "has done anything but dress me this morning."
She watched as Ace and Chase interacted. It was almost torture at times watching those two drape themselves all over one another. Why they didn't hook up was beyond her. At least most of the school would be delighted. Although Chloe couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy at the thought of Ace getting her old man. She so had a crush on him. Chloe just hoped that like all of her others she had managed to keep her emotions in check. The last thing she needed was another Hunter.
Chloe made a face and stuck out her tongue while gagging before answering, "Advanced computer with Mr. Avansi. That guy gives me the creeps. I may have to skip that class too."
Mentally she slapped herself for mentioning skipping class in front of a teacher. Brilliant Chlo, just brilliant. Why not announce to the entire school while your at it that your still a virgin.

Rylie looked at Chloe and gave her a sympathetic smile. "That man scares us all. At least you only have to endure him for one class, with a lot of other people around. I have to spend all day with him, and share an office. Not very fun." She took her cup of coffee in one hand and stood up. "Well guys, have a good morning, and good luck with Avansi if you go to class, Chloe." She winked at Chloe before leaving, heading up to her computer lab to prep her next class.
Ace looked across the table at Chloe, shaking his head. "That jacket looks awfully familiar, speaking of it." He looked over at Chase. "Is that not your birthday present? Nice to see it's going to good use." He looked back over at Chloe, a contemplative look on his face. "Then again, maybe it's not such a good use. Chase has always been too much of a prude in public."
"Shut up! I'm just looking out for her best interests, that's all." Chase smacked Ace's arm before looking back at Chloe, a charming smile on his face. "Besides, I think the jacket looks adorable on her."

At least there hadn't been a disapproving shake of the head or a lecture of attending classes, for which Chloe was extremely grateful. The older woman really wasn't so bad. In fact if she hadn't been a teacher Chloe was almost willing to bet she'd be on the friendly side with her.
Chloe chuckled, "Well you know it wasn't my idea. Gramps here didn't seem to care for my attire of choice today though. He's just lucky I didn't come in a bikini and a pair of sandals."
"Besides, I think the jacket looks adorable on her." She could have melted into a puddle of goo right than. Adorable, Chase said adorable. Fighting to keep a dopey smile from her face Chloe bit the inside of her cheek.
"So what horror do you two face next hour?"
Chloe would have to check her schedule again to see if there was anything she and Holland had together other than gym and lunch. She certainly hoped there was something else. Otherwise the year was going to drag on forever. Unless of course she gasp branched out and decided to be civil towards the others in her grade. But what was the fun in that?

Chase acted offended by Chloe's comment. "Gramps?! What the hell? I am not that bad. It's not that I dislike what you're wearing, I just can't let you start off the year on a potential bad note with teachers. Someone has to look out for you after all. If I leave it up to anyone else," he shot a glance at Ace, "you would be walking around in nothing but a bikini and sandals." He looked back at Chloe, with a serious look on his face. "Now I want you to keep that jacket on all day today. If I hear of you without it, I will be very upset. I have my sources." He grinned, not actually serious at all. But he did hope that she'd keep it on.
Ace shook his head at Chase's comments, then smiled when Chloe asked about their next class. "Honours English with Miss Lark, the future mother of my children."
"Yeah, if it weren't for student-teacher rules she probably would have jumped you long ago. Kind of disturbing, really. Just how the hell did you guys forge such a strong bond?" Chase shook his head and looked at Ace, who was sporting an amused expression.
"It's all about english comp last year. She was very impressed by my poetry. Not to mention my charming smile and gorgeous body, of course." He laughed, leaning against Chase again. "Then again no one can turn me down, can they? You know if I ever really wanted anything physical out of you, you wouldn't stand a chance." Ace winked at Chase, wondering just how far he really could push his best friend.

Chloe smiled sweetly, "Trust me it isn't how I dress that gets me on their bad side so quickly." Chloe shook her head, "Sources huh? And just who are these sources?"
The teenager glanced around the cafeteria as though she expected to see one pop out yell "I'm one!"
"I don't doubt that. You certainly have her wrapped around your dainty little finger." Chloe chuckled softly at Ace's last comment before saying, "You know a large portion of the student body would pay handsomely to see the two of you really go at it."
