Darn. He had been afraid the blonde would ask that. He did not want to admit to living still at home. He contemplated for a moment whether to lie that Dan's place was his or to explain to him he hadn't had the time to get himself an apartment yet. How lame was that? But then, lies had a way of catching up with you. How would he explain all the Rosacci family pictures around, anyway?
He smiled.
"I like to live on the edge," he said, thinking, a little amused, that Ace couldn't possibly even guess how true those words really were. "Except for my current residence, which is at my old man's place and not very dangerous - unless you count a pushy stepmother a danger." He squinted his eyes thoughtfully at the sky. "Actually, now that I think of it..." But he let the thought go and turned to Ace again, shrugging. "I don't think I'm quite ready to introduce you to my old man just yet, but if you feel like getting together some evening, there's always Dan's place. He's hardly ever there, and it's right downtown. I spend most of my time there, anyway." He chuckled. "I even got the key, and Dan practically eats from my palm."
He stopped himself right before adding "as do everyone else", since he figured that would scare Ace off like a little rabbit. The blonde appeared to like the feeling of control, and would most likely bolt at the suggestion that he would be in any way underhanded here.

Ace stared at him for a moment, contemplative. If he went with him to Dandy's place, there was always the chance that either Dandy would say something to Sweetheart, or that she herself might show up at some point. Entirely too risky.
"I have a better idea. You can come to my place. It's downtown as well, in one of the trendy new buildings that just went up last year. Mom's never there, of course. She bought me the car not only as a present but also as a means of getting myself to school every day. No one except for my trusted friends have ever been there, and no one from school lives there. It's a very safe meeting place. Not to mention posh and luxurious. Plus I could introduce you to my masseuse, she likes to hear about my relations, and showing her one would just make her day." Ace couldn't help but throw in the comment about his masseuse Penny; the building's spa was one of his favourite places in the world.

Ahh that sounded excellent. Chip nodded, almost too eagerly. But then again, he thought, the blonde probably would only enjoy his eagerness. It wasn't every day you got a staff member of the school on his knees, was it now? Chip recalled with satisfaction how he had once got a staff member of his school quite literally on his knees - and his mouth...
Chip interrupted his chain of thoughts there, as his pants began to feel all too hot for him at the recollection.
"That sounds like a better idea indeed," he said. "When?"

Ace watched as Chip seemed to get a little excited at the idea, pondering whether he should make Chip wait. As of right now he had no plans for tonight, but that might change by the end of the day. "I'll have to get back to you once the day's over, like I said I'm quite the popular guy with a lot of people requiring my attention. I'll get to you when the time is right. Maybe tonight, maybe in a few days. Patience is a virtue, after all." Ace grinned, thoroughly enjoying this situation. He just hoped Chip wasn't the impatient type.

Chip smiled. Ah. Not wanting to appear too easy, was that it? But he didn't mind. He was patient. Sometimes it felt to him he was the most patient man in the world.
So he nodded, though he made sure he appeared as though he was still very anxious and disappointed at being left hanging like that. He could see that was the way to play the blonde.
"Whenever it's good for you," he said compliantly. "Just let me know. I'm assuming I'll get an office somewhere." He scratched his neck thoughtfully. "Err... at least, I hope so. Well," he shrugged, "we'll meet up somewhere around the school, I'm sure."
One didn't need to sound too needy, after all.

"Speaking of that, I guess we should take you in to see Collins sometime this morning, that way you can figure out exactly where you'll be. That way I can know exactly where to go to find you if I ever need to." Ace wondered if Chip would be free during his off periods, after all getting some action in the school was something he hadn't had the opportunity to do yet, and getting that action from a staff member was such a golden opporunity he couldn't let slip by.
Princess had been standing by watching them talk, thoroughly entranced by their conversation. Listening to two guys plot out an encounter had to be one of the hottest things ever. Looking over to the parking lot her eyes widened as she saw a familiar car pull into its spot.
"Hate to break up the hot moment boys, but teacher alert."
Ace looked around Chip to see a very attractive young woman stepping out of her car. He smiled to himself as he saw his favourite teacher, thankful she was the one who had shown up. He watched her as she came up the stairs, looking at Chip before glancing at Ace and Princess as well. She stopped just before them, shaking her head at Ace.
"Listen kid, I've told you a hundred times, stop flirting with the staff. You're bound to get one of us in trouble one of these days." Turning to face Chip she smiled and extended a hand out. "Hi, I'm Aluna, one of the English teachers. You must be the new computer guy, right? I'd heard you'd be starting today." She wore a friendly expression on her face as she spoke to him.

Chip backed off from Ace in a relaxed manner. He knew the best way to get spotted for doing something illegal was to act guiltly. So, instead, he picked up his most natural act and took Aluna's extended hand in a formal grown up manner that seemed to be required of him.
"Pleased to meet you, Aluna," he said and then smiled ironically. "I guess everyone will end up knowing me as just the 'computer guy', but the name's Chip, if you fancy using first names."

Aluna smiled and met Chip's eyes. "No I like my first names, I even tell the kids to call me by my first name. Miss Lark just makes me sound so old, which is probably why certain people still use it regardless of what I tell them." With that comment she looked back at Ace, who winked at her. "So Chip, have you been in to see the principal yet? If not I can show you around, I have to go see him for a brief moment anyhow and my first period is free. As nice as the student scenery can be, you don't want to go raising anyone's suspicions on the first day." She winked at him, hoping he wouldn't think that she minded what he did with anyone, because she didn't. She herself had been sorely tempted on occasion last year, but managed to resist actually acting on any of it. Far too many horror stories of student-teacher relationships gone wrong for her liking.
"Might I just say, before you go trouncing off with him, that you're an utterly horrible person for taking over that journalism class. Now you realize I have composition with Hackney, right? Call me crazy, but I just don't feel comfortable sharing certain elements of my writing with that old bag." Ace shot Aluna an annoyed look, which she responded to by laughing.
"Ace, you're such a sulky brat. You know you can still drop off any weekend reading material for me you think I might enjoy."

Chip smiled to "Miss Lark". She understood her worry, but wasn't afraid. He was not afraid of any repercussions, though he was well aware they might occur yet if he did not take care. However, Mario Tirano's son was not one to be afraid of such minor trifles. He had far bigger things to worry about.
He chuckled a little to Aluna's and Ace's conversation. So he was a writer, was he? Chip was most intrigued. A multi-talented boy he seemed to be indeed. He wondered what other surprises lay underneath.
To Aluna he nodded, however.
"I'd be happy if you showed me in," he admitted and then flashed a smile to Ace. "This golden angel here was getting me a bit uncomfortable already." He strode over to the door to hold it open for her and then bowed with a flourish once again. "May I offer my humble assistance, my fair lady?"
He grinned to her from under his fringe.

Princess couldn't help but snort at Chip's calling Ace a golden angel, leaning into the wall and laughing so hard she had to bite down on her hand.
Ace looked over at Princess and shook his head, shrugging his shoulders at the two staff members. "Well then Chip, I'll leave you to Miss Lark, hopefully the old timer won't forget her way to the office." Ace winked at them before striding over to Princess and putting his arm around her shoulders after slapping her on the arm playfully and telling her to pull herself together.
Aluna smiled at the antics of everyone around her, accompanying Chip into the school and to the main office, which was actually just inside the main doors and up the small staircase. She brought him into the office, introducing him to Pansy, the secretary, and then bringing him into Woody Collins' office. She turned to look at him before entering. "You'll like him, he's excellent. Very fun guy."

Chip flashed one more smile to Ace and Princess before following Aluna in. At Collins's door he smirked to her.
"Then I think we'll get along just fine. I'm funny as hell myself," he complimented himself, grinning. Though on the outside he looked relaxed and as though he was merely goofing about, his brain was taking careful note of everything around him - how the furniture stood, where the secretary sat, even how the pictures were hung on the walls. He was used to mapping everything out carefully, everywhere he went, always.

"Excellent, well then let's head in." Aluna opened the door and waltzed into the office, plunking herself down on one of the chairs in front of Woody's desk and motioning for Chip to do the same. The principal was currently on the phone and smiled to the pair when he saw them enter. He cut his call short and hung up, swivelling his chair around to the front.
"Morning Aluna, you must be Chip, the new guy working in our IT department? I'm Woody Collins, nice to meet you." He stood up and extended his hand, a smile on his face.

Chip pulled on his best effort to look professional instead of a high school kid - which he felt like he was, for the most of the time - and smiled as he took the principal's hand.
"Yes, I'm Chip," he said, happy that his nickname was getting around so fast. Well, he had tried advertising it. He had always found it more... appropriate. "I understood that you wanted to meet me before I begin my first day, sir."
The "sir" tag was an automatic reaction. He didn't even realised he'd used it until he'd said it.

Woody made a face when Chip called him Sir-- it made him feel old.
"Woody, call me Woody. I hate Sir, makes me feel like an old man." He laughed, sitting back down in his chair. "I did want to see you, just to get to know what you look like so I don't think you're some random guy prowling the halls here. So you're going to be working with two other teachers here who teach the computer classes, Don Avansi and Riley Dorey. Riley just started here, it's her first year too, I just saw her a little earlier, sweet girl, a little quiet though. So I expect you to talk to her, you seem a bit more outgoing. Don however, he likes to think he knows everything there is to know about the computer world, but he honestly doesn't, hence why I hired you. So if he gets on your case about anything stupid, just let me know and I'll talk to him. He's a bit of a social dictator, you know, likes to think he's the center of the universe, just ask Luna here, I'm sure she'll fill you in." He chuckled and looked at Aluna, who frowned and shook her head.
"Oh come on, I'd like to think happy thoughts this morning." She looked over at Chip, grinning. "Don is like wine, you'll grimace and feel like spitting him out the first time you have him, but after a while you get used to him." She suddenly stopped and frowned, looking back and forth from Chip to Woody. "Oh that sounded all kinds of wrong." She shuddered and laughed, as did Woody.

Chip laughed with the other two, feeling rather comfortable with them. He just might settle in nicely here. Of course, it was mostly a side job for him, but then, his every job was mostly a side job - life itself being his actual job. But he brushed the thought off.
"I think I can handle this Don person. I have a way with people." He smiled. Well, he had more than his people skills to use on difficult persons, but he figured it was best leave that unmentioned. And how much trouble could one computer geek be? He looked at Woody. "Will I have an office somewhere or should I just camp out into one of the computer classrooms?"
