Slugger stepped back as Dom nearly fell over, making no move to try and support him; he was laughing too hard. "With the way your feet move, I think the ground has a good chance of taking a chunk out of your face for me. You're so graceful."
Flint nodded, laughing when he saw Dom nearly fall over. "Yeah, if only the rest of the world could see this side of Slugger, no one would ever take him seriously with his music."

The boy would have sooner lost his vision than to be caught dead in a pair of tights.
"Seriously unlikely." Mel chuckled, "A shame the rest of the world can't see him like this though. He's a lot of fun."

Slugger grinned. "Sadly my friend, it's not in your cards." Slugger looked back at Flint and Melody, a scowl on his face. "Are you guys talking about me again? I feel my ears burning." Slugger laughed as soon as he said it.
Flint grinned back. "Naw man, that's just the headhunters, trying to decide what part of you to eat first."

Dom hung his head and sighed, "That sucks man."
Mel raised her voice enough to be heard, "I'm betting they'll go after your eyes."
"Well who wouldn't?" Dom replied a grin on his face, "Slug has the prettiest eyes on the planet."
The girl shook her head, a smile on her face. At least she couldn't claim it was dull hanging out with the guys. In truth she couldn't remember when she'd laughed so hard or had so much fun. It didn't really matter what else the day held. This part made it all worthwhile.

Slugger looked at them and pouted before covering his eyes with his hands. "Noo! Not my eyes!" Remembering where Dom had been standing, he made a point of running right into him while his eyes were covered, screaming when he made contact and purposefully tripping and screaming one last time about his eyes.
Flint was laughing so hard at Slugger's actions that he had to stop walking, doubling over and slapping his leg. He was a little amazed that Slugger was actually acting this nutty today, it was unusual for him.

Dom hit the sand full force. Luckily for Slugger it was only sand and didn't hurt. Which was more than he could say for his right side, which was what the other boy had hit. Shoving Slugger off of him Dom glared. As upset as he looked, he really wasn't.
"I hope they eat your mouth next."
Mel couldn't believe the nuttiness that was taking place. The girl was laughing so hard from the antics before her that she had tears rolling down her cheeks. When her laughter subsided, she flopped on the sand, her arms wrapped around her now aching sides.
"Oh man." Mel sighed, "Thanks Slugger."

Slugger rolled over and looked up at Dom, a fearful look on his face. "My mouth..." He could barely whisper the word without laughing, finally sitting up and forcing himself to take a few deep breaths to calm down. He looked around him and saw the others laughing, fighting to keep from starting again. He looked at Melody and winked. "No problem. I aim to please." He then looked over at Dom. "I didn't hurt you, did I?"
Flint had finally recovered, standing and shaking his head at his friends. "Man, seriously. Why is there never a camera at these prime, opportune moments?"

Laughing himself Dom said, "Your horrid."
Propping herself up on her elbows Mel replied, "You succeeded."
"Eh. I'll live." Dom stated, "Though I might need a new kidney. Got one you can spare?"
Mel had to agree with Flint, "There should be a camera man who follows you guys everywhere. Fans would kill to see you guys like this after you make it."

Slugger grinned at Dom's question of a kidney to spare. He shook his head, "no sorry. I sold my other kidney just yesterday so I could get the money to buy the crack I must obviously be smoking today!" He stood up and brushed his jeans off, laughing to himself. He was personally quite glad there were no video cameras around, he'd die if anyone outside of his trusted circle saw him acting like such an ass.
Flint however, still wished for that to have been caught on tape. "The fans would love it Flinty! But even more so, I think your gay soccer boys would love it too. Is that where you learned to scream that girly scream of yours?" He laughed at Slugger, then offered a hand to help Melody up from the ground.

Dom whined, as best he could while trying not to laugh at Slugger's reply, "Now where am I going to get a kidney?"
Mel was smiling brightly as she said, "Hey I'd paid to see you run screaming into Dom again. It was priceless."
Dom gasped, "You mean he didn't learn that from being in Girl Scouts?"
Looking at the offered hand Melody blinked and was uncertain for a second as to what to do. No one had ever offered to help her up before. They'd all tried to figure out how to get her down on the bed or floor, not up off of it. Biting the inside of her cheek she accepted the offered hand and smiled a little shyly. Damn. Why couldn't she have met Flint or someone like him first instead of those asses?

Slugger narrowed his eyes at Dom. "Girl Scouts? Dude that was cold. Cold and uncalled for." He promptly turned toward the resort and started skipping down the trail, singing loud enough for the others to hear. "We're off to find a kidney, a kidney for ol' Domino, because, because, because, because, I headbutted his other one out!"
Flint smiled down at Melody and easily pulled her up from the ground, holding her hand a little longer than was required before letting it go. He didn't care what anyone else had to say about her, Melody was definitely one of the sweetest girls he'd ever known.

Dom did his best to shiver when Slugger narrowed his eyes at him before stating, "I think it just dropped ten degrees out here."
After Flint helped her up, Mel didn't seem to notice that he didn't let go of her hand right away. She was thinking of wrapping her arms around his waist and letting her head rest on his chest. But that was stupid. A hug always leads to sex. And Mel really didn't want to screw up what could turn out to be a good friendship with sex. It complicated everything. Changed everything. And eventually it made the guy disappear, for good.
Dom followed behind Slugger grinning as he watched the big, bad, tortured artist skip towards the resort singing about finding a kidney. It was no wonder the other didn't want this on video for the entire world to see.

*I know, he's really becoming one of my favourites! Sadly though, I must leave after this post! I do have work tomorrow, boo! :(*
Flint was all smiled as he turned and started walking again, watching the other two and shaking his head at Slugger's antics. "You know, I don't think he was kidding. He really must be on crack today, because he usually does not act this crazy. At least not for such prolonged periods of time." He wanted to put his arm around her shoulders again, but didn't dare. Even though she had to know that he liked her, he didn't want to appear too forward.

Mel smiled as she walked beside Flint. Quite content to be where she was, doing nothing much of anything, just goofing off and hanging out. It was a really nice change of pace from watching the twins, working, cleaning the house and doing homework. The only thing that might have made it better was to curl up somewhere and just cuddle with someone. No expectations, no hidden agendas, no anything. Just quiet and cuddling.
Turning somewhat serious Melody said, "Better keep an eye on him than. Don't want hurting himself. Or doing something really stupid."

Flint grinned, "yes that one definitely requires supervision today." The resort was just up ahead, Flint watched as Slugger walked up to the front door. He'd definitely have to give Moki a hug for having a get together today, otherwise he might not have gotten this chance to get to know Melody.
Slugger walked up to the door and grabbed the handle, turning back and looking at Dom before glancing at Melody and Flint who were still further back. "He so better not fuck this up, I swear." He grinned at Dom, "the things I do for friends, huh? Now just make sure you don't tell anyone just how stupid I was acting before, or I swear I'll slam into your other kidney." He winked before pulling the door open and holding it for Dom.
