After the ferry ride.

When Melody finally stopped dancing around the boys she came to a stop closest to Flint.

Batting her eyes Mel said, "But you won't ever dump me, will you baby?"

Dom lifted his head before saying, "Flint? Flint who? He's only a distant memory from a dream."

[Kat]

Flint smiled and put an arm around Mel's shoulders. "Of course not, never in my life! You're got me for the long run now." He kept his arm where it was, thoroughly enjoying the situation. Even though they were just goofing around and he knew there was no chance of Melody ever actually dating him, he was still determined to enjoy the facade as long as it was going to last.

Slugger smiled at Dom's words. "Oh yeah, I am just that damn good."

[LNS]

Melody attempted to act like a girl whose crush had just given her the time of day. There was only one problem with that, she didn't have a clue how to pull it off. Wrapping an arm behind Flint, she gave the teen half a hug as she squealed.

Mel laughed at Slugger's remark as Dom grinned, "You are good."

[Kat]

"And you better remember it, bitch." Slugger slid his hand down Dom's back, pinching the other boy's ass.

Flint laughed at Slugger's comment and action, a smile on his face as Mel hugged him. "So, aren't we supposed to be getting to some party or something? Or do the two of you want to be left alone now?" There was a mischievous twinkle in Flint's eyes as he looked at the other two.

For the first time in a long time Mel felt like she had before that year and everything that had happened after it. She was thankful now that Dom had insisted so strongly on her coming along.

"Not in front of everyone." Dom lowered his voice, but kept it loud enough for Flint and Mel to hear, "Wait until we get to the resort lover."

Mel held back a laugh as she shook her head, "Well we can go. But I think these two are going to need some alone time."

[Kat]

Flint nodded his head in agreement. "No kidding, I guess rebound romance is hot and heavy these days." He winked at Dom and Flint.

Slugger slid his hand up to rest on Dom's cheek, patting it lightly. "Alright baby, I can wait. We'll have Loki get us a room and then I show you all the things Flint never could." Slugger pursed his lips and blew Dom a kiss before turning his head to look at Flint and wink.

"Apparently." Mel replied watching Dom and Slugger interact with each other.

There was a suggestive smile on Mel's face as she shifted her eyes so that she was watching Flint, "So can Loki get us a room too? After all it isn't fair for the one who got dumped to have all the fun."

Dom snuggled closer to Slugger and smiled innocently, "Really? You'd do that just for me? You really are a prince."

Flint tried not to look surprised when Mel made the suggestion, reminding himself that she didn't really mean it. And even if she did, what would he do? He was, after all, still a virgin. He wondered if she even knew? What would she think? Girls hadn't really been too interested in him until his recent growth spurt, and even now while he did have a few to choose from, he wasn't exactly the type to sleep with a girl just for the sake of having sex. But he could play the role if need be for now. "Of course he could, he'd get us a fantasy suite while those two would get the linen closet."

Slugger shrugged his shoulders, trying to look non-chalant. "That's right baby, I'm the prince of darkness, here to fulfill your desires." He tried not to laugh at the corniness of the line, instead putting an arm back around Dom's shoulder and starting to walk again in the direction of the resort.

Melody found it hard to keep the bright smile from her face as she listened to Flint's reply.

Mel moved her head closer to Flint's, her mouth just inches from his ear she purred, "I can make your fantasy come true."

"And to think I would have missed out on pure perfection if what's his name hadn't let me go." Dom tried to look aghast at the very idea but ended up laughing.

Stepping away from Slugger he shook his head. There was a smile still on his face as he started to walk towards the resort once again.


[Mel is being so mean. Poor Flint.]

*I know!! Poor Flint is dying over here!;)*

Flint bit down on his lip at Melody's comment, unsure if he could possibly take anymore. he really wanted to kiss her. Kiss her and hold her and really, honestly be like this with her, without it just being a joke. But once again he pushed the feelings back down and grinned. "Then I'll make sure he gets us the room for two nights then."

Slugger grinned as Dom laughed and stepped away, briefly looking over at Flint and Melody. Those two really were getting awfully close and he wondered whether it was still simply joking around, or if there really were any feelings developing. He didn't exactly want to let Flint have a taste of his dream only to have it yanked away after all. He just hoped that Flint wasn't too caught up. "Come on, love birds. We really should get there before it gets dark, we don't want the headhunters to eat us."

[LNS]

"Baby's got stamina." Mel smiled, "I like."

Letting her head rest on his shoulder, she let her eyes wander over to where Slugger and Dom were.

"Shit we better get moving." Dom stated, "You know they go after the pretty ones first."

Mel lifted her head up and unwound herself from Flint. She was actually a little sad to have to end it. It was nice to play pretend for a while. To think that maybe a guy could actually like her for her and be interested in more than just sex. But those kind of guys were rare. And they certainly wouldn't want to get messed up with a girl like her.

Flint was a little sad when Melody pulled away, not wanting to let her go. It had been nice while it lasted, but now it was time to go back to reality. At least now he knew he could act naturally around her instead of floundering for words.

Slugger nodded at Dom's comment. "It's true, so I think Flint should go first to protect us." He looked over at the bigger boy and grinned. "We're too pretty to be eaten, protect us Flinty!"

[*lol* Didn't catch that until after I posted it. Whoops. Good for a laugh at least.]

Dom grinned as he glanced at Slugger, "Man you'd look like hell with a bite out of your face."

The younger boy laughed and took a couple of running steps towards the resort.

Mel motioned towards Dom and Slugger while asking Flint, "You sure you want to protect these clowns?"

[Kat]

Slugger glared after Dom, "yeah you better run! I'll take a bite out of your face!" He glanced back at Melody and Flint, looking mildly offended at Melody's comment. "Clowns?! Geez, after everything I've done for you two and all you can do is call me a clown. Real nice, jerk wad." Slugger could barely keep the grin off his face as he turned and started walking toward the resort, pretending to be upset.

Flint laughed as he watched him go. "He's such a whiner, isn't he?" Flint smiled and started walking down the path beside Melody, watching as Slugger caught up to Dom and hit him in the arm.

Dom turned around as he ran, "First you have to catch me!"

Mel grinned, "Better a jerk wad than someone missing a chunk out of their face."

Since Dom was still laughing it hadn't taken much for Slugger to catch up to him. But he had been caught just enough off guard that when Slugger punched him in the arm, Dom tittered to the other side just enough that he almost fell over.

"He's certainly something." Mel commented walking alongside Flint.
