[[oooh now we're getting to the interesting part! ]]
Sweetheart smiled even more widely when Teddy said remembering everything she had ever told him, and she hugged her other hand round his waist happily. She was still looking at him when he saw the joint, and saw the change in him. This made her frown, and she opened her mouth to ask what was wrong even as she turned her head to follow his eyes to the coffee table. But words never left her lips when she saw what was there.
She may have been innocent, but she had learned a great deal since her childhood, and from the movies and such she knew approximately what she was looking at. Her eyes went a little wide and she stopped, her glass to her chest.
"What... what is that?" she asked, with a voice that betrayed no emotion - which was never a good sign when it came to Sweetheart.
Teddy cursed himself. He knew what the lack of emotion meant.... and he hated it.
The glass was placed down onto the boy's lap. Teddy's eyes never left the cup as he spoke. "Marjuana..." Guilt was dripping from the teen's tongue. He felt like shit, and he didn't like it. He had been so used to Bp... that he had momentarily forgotten that not all girls, or people, were so accepting.... nor did everyone smoke the stuff.
[Oooh, I can't wait to see what happens. lol]

Sweetheart stared at Teddy now instead of the joint. Her eyes were very wide. His answer made her shiver a little. Marijuana was a drug. That was all she knew, but it was enough. She swallowed and looked back at the joint on the table. She could hear the guilt from Teddy's voice, and it brushed away the faint hope she had had that the joint might not be his but Bp's. Still, she was sure that Bp was not unfamiliar to the stuff either.
She swallowed again.
"I... why... isn't... it's dangerous, isn't it," she said, still unclear on what she felt. At the moment she didn't feel anything. She hung onto the silence preceding Teddy's possible answer, praying though she wasn't sure what for. This was not a small deal for her. She had trouble accepting alcohol, because of it's behaviour-altering effects. And now she heard of drugs?
And then, of course, there was the religious angle.
"Um..." Teddy leaned forward and placed his glass on the table beside the drug. "No, not really... I mean.. unless you drive high, but I don't do that.. neither does Bp, or any of our friends." Just then, he realized that he had been rambling. "Shit..."
He was at a loss. And for once in his life, he didn't have the slightest clue as to what to say to make the situation better. Even worse.. he didn't think things could get better.

Sweetheart bit her lip. Thoughts were running wild through her head. She couldn't believe anything bad of Teddy. This shouldn't have been a big deal, should it? And hearing Bp's name in this context made her feel bad somehow, inside. Bp did all these things with him. She was wild, and relaxed, and she didn't freak out about things like this. Sweetheart again felt the odd need to compete with the other girl. It was odd, seeing how Teddy had asked her to be his girlfriend, not Bp. And it didn't even occur to Sweetheart that Teddy might be playing them both. He wasn't that kind of a boy - and she wasn't the kind of girl who suspected things like that.
She did have one important question, however. She looked at Teddy and put her hand onto his, looking at him in the eyes.
"I... Teddy, if I asked... would you stop using them?"
She wasn't going to ask that - but she needed to know his answer.
Teddy just sat there, staring at his feet. All sorts of thoughts were flooding his mind. Was she going to leave him? Did he just lose his one chance with the girl of his dreams? And what about Bp? What would she think of this fiasco? What if Dan found out? What the hell was he going to do?!
As Sweetheart spoke, Teddy made a short yelp. He had been so caught up in his thoughts, that the girl's voice had frightened him. Looking at Sweetheart, he gave an embarrassed laugh, but his expression soon changed from shock and embarrassment to something more serious. Did she really just ask him that?
"In a heart beat..."

Sweetheart was a bit startled for Teddy's yelp. She smiled just a little when he gave a laugh, but there was no joy in the smile, just quiet anticipation. She looked at him when his expression turned to more serious, and when he spoke, a genuine smile broke on her lips. She didn't want to change him, no more than what he might have wanted to change himself, and so she didn't want to demand him to stop, but it meant the worlds to her to know that he would. Some day, they would have children, and then he would have to stop. But she wanted to think this was just a phase he was going through... something he did while he was young. That it would eventually change on its own, or perhaps because of a slight nudge.
Sweetheart had always been naïve.
"Oh, Teddy," she said and wrapped her arms round his neck. "I... I'm not asking you to stop. I don't... I don't think I'll really ever understand, but it's good enough for me if I know you'd stop if it ever became a problem." She looked at him in the eyes. "I don't want to change you, Teddy. I love you the way you are."
[So I was thinking.. would Sweetheart want to know how many people he's slept with? It's a pretty big number. lol]
Teddy smiled in relief at Sweetheart's reaction. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around her and squeezed... though not too hard. Her next comment just made him smile more.
"I know..." He kissed her on the forehead. "But trust me... it won't get in the way or cause any problems. I promise." Being a typical guy, Teddy didn't pick up on the hint that she really did want him to stop. No, no.. he was blissfully ignorant to that desire.

Being a typical girl, obviously Sweetheart was slightly annoyed that Teddy had completely missed her hint, but like was usual for her, she let it go quickly. Ah well. She had meant what she said - she would not try to change him, and would ask for it only when it started to be a bother.
Such as when they would have their first child.
She was quickly building all sorts of castles in the air for them.
She therefore smiled and inched her way into his lap.
"I trust you, Teddy," she said and kissed him on the forehead.
Teddy smiled and wrapped his arms around Sweetheart. "Thank you" As he began to kiss the girl, his phone started to ring.
"Damnit..." Teddy pulled the cell out of his pocket, and upon seeing the name Amanda on the id, he tossed the phone onto the couch and ignored it. He moved in to kiss Sweetheart, while not noticing that the phone had landed face up so that the caller id screen was in plain view of the girl.
[Does that work? lol]

Sweetheart did answer to the kissing quite willingly at first, but when the phone rang, she furrowed her brows. When he tossed it away she, while wrapping her arms round his shoulders, craned her neck over his shoulder and read the name flashing on the phone screen.
"Amanda?" she asked and pulled back a little, quite innocently curious. "Aren't you going to answer her? Who is she? Is she a friend of yours?"
Teddy mentally sighed as Sweetheart pulled back. He'd have to have a little talk with Amanda later.... and many other girls, actually.
"Uhm," Teddy shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. "I guess you could call her a friend... but she's not calling me to talk."
Blue eyes stared at the red head. He really didn't have any other way of saying it.. unless of course, he just busted out with the truth and said she was one of his many fuck buddies. And one of the hotter ones.

For a few moments, Sweetheart simply stared at Teddy, no comprehension in her eyes. Then suddenly his intention hit her, and a violent blush came over her cheeks.
"Oh..." She had not really even realised that Bp was not the only one Teddy might be sleeping with. "So... you... you have... arrangements with... other girls too?"
She paused as she considered this, and a slight frown settled on her brow.
"Umm, exactly... how many girls do you have arrangements with?"
She hadn't exactly meant to ask, but she felt compelled. She was discovering new things about him all the time.
Teddy forced a smile on his face as Sweetheart put two and two together. He feared what she would ask next... And as luck would have it, she asked the exact same thing he had been dreading.
"Uhm..." Teddy looked up at the ceiling. Not only was it easier for him to think this way, but it also meant he didn't have to look Sweetheart in the eye. "There's Amanda, Nikki, Candy, Tuneful, Lisa, Alex, CiCi, Mitzy, Asia, Norelle.... so what is that?" He looked at Sweetheart, and it was obvious that by this point he was completely wrapped up in his thoughts. "Ten? Yeah, ten... " He coughed and nodded. "And that's just recently, before you and me... those were the ones I uh, was with." He felt like a jackass admitting this, but well.. she deserved to know. Besides, everyone at Meadowbrook knew Teddy was one of the biggest man whores to have ever graced the school.
Before another word could be spoken, the sound of a key turning a lock was heard and the front door slowly opened. Bp walked in quietly, and looked up only to see Teddy and Sweetheart sitting on the couch. "Oh." She smiled a little, surprised to see them there. "I didn't think you'd be back yet."
Teddy smiled to Bp and quietly spoke to Sweetheart. "Make that eleven." Turning his attention back to the girl at the door, he shrugged. "You know me, I'm happiest at home."
Bp gave a small smile, it was obvious something was very wrong with the girl. And how could there not be? She had just hurt one of the only guys she's ever cared about... not that anyone would guess it. "Yeah, well... I'm just going to go change and then I'll get out of your hair." She smiled again and disappeared into the hallway. The barking of three dogs could be heard, but they soon quieted when Bp hugged each one in what was once the spare bedroom, but was now her room.
"Something's wrong..." Teddy slowly turned to look at Sweetheart. "I'll be right back." He placed a soft kiss on the girl's forehead as he untangled himself from her embrace and stood up. "It'll only take a minute." With that said, he too disappeared into the hallway.

Sweetheart's eyes had grown very, very wide as Teddy went on. Ten? She swallowed. That was more people than she had even ever felt anything toward. She wasn't anywhere near to saying anything when the door opened. She didn't properly even hear anything that went on for a few minutes.
Ten? He really had... did... that was a lot of girls, to Sweetheart. On regular basis?
"I'll be right back."
She felt the kiss on her forehead, and blinked away the trance she'd fallen into. She looked up at Teddy as he left, and opened her mouth, but didn't have the time to say anything when he was already gone to Bp's room. She frowned a little. She hadn't noticed what was going on with Bp, but was a little worried now.
And then there was the jealousy. Ten girls, plus Bp?
Normally, she would never have done anything like that. She was brought up better than that. But she wasn't thinking of what was proper at the moment. There were downsides to letting out your bad side, and at the moment the cost was forgetting your manners.
She got up from the couch quietly and moved to the door of Bp's room. She hesitated a few more moments there, but finally the curiosity and the jealous black feeling in her guts won. The door was slightly ajar, and she moved so that she could just see in through it.
She saw Bp on the bed, sitting with her legs over the edge, and Teddy had knelt in front of her in between her legs, his hands on her hips. Something very, very dark shifted in her heart, and something inside her protested with an angry "I'm right in the next room, you know!"
She tried to silence it as silly. They were friends, yes?
