Bee smiled a little hesitantly, not sure if she exactly liked that feature of Luke - and not having a whiff that it was indeed a lie. She had not a gay-radar, and often even forgot that such things existed. Hence she didn't really even know what she thought of gayness. She had never had to confront it.
"Oh... sure!" she said, standing up with a smile. Yes, it was a good idea to get moving. The conversation was staggering, and she didn't like the idea of complete silence between us. It felt better to talk, or at least to be on the move, so she'd know they were doing something together.

Lancer smiled brightly. "Excellent." He glanced around. "Well, they obviously aren't anywhere out in the open..." The boy tilted his head. "Where the hell did they go?" As he spoke, Lancer turned to look at Bee. "Any ideas? Maybe the woods? Or another part of the beach?"

Bee looked hesitant. "I don't know... why would they have gone very far? Maybe they went inside after all. I wasn't looking. Maybe we should go in as well." In truth she was anxious to find Phin, however. She had rather liked his company. And she was a little worried of where Luke might have taken him. Why would he have taken the boy somewhere far? [[you have a plan on where to go? I have to admit I am rather curious to find out what Luke is doing with Phin. ]]

[I'm thinking Phin might have been dumb enough to take Luke into that little private beach area he and Bee were in earlier.]
"I doubt that...." Lancer eyed the beach. "I think I have an idea." The teen had been to the island enough times to know where the best sex spots were. And knowing Luke, those were the first places he'd go.
As the boy began to walk toward the brush, he turned to Bee. "I would worry too much. Phin's got a pretty good head on his shoulders..." Lancer had returned his attention to the ground in front of him.
Within minutes, the duo had reached a neighboring beach. Sure enough, Luke and Phin were sitting fairly close to one another, and seemed to be having a good time. Maybe too good of a time.

[[Hehe]]
Bright Eyes said nothing as she followed Lancer, a little worried but fairly calm - at least until they got to the spot where they could see Phin and Luke. At that point, she frowned just a little. Not really consciously thinking there might be anything, eh, weird going on there, she still felt a strange pang of jealousy. She had hoped to befriend Phin and now Luke was hogging him all to himself.
"Phin!" she called out, waving her hand, hoping he'd be happy to see her again.

[lol Then she might just be spared the truth behind Luke's evil plan ;)]
Phin turned quickly, causing himself to lose balance and fall from his spot on the log he and Luke were sitting on. Luke broke out in laughter and tried to help the British boy back up, only to find himself sprawled out on the sand as well.
"Hey Bee! Come and join the festivitieeess!!" Phin watched as the two teens came closer. He didn't budge from his spot on the ground next to Luke.
"I see you've been dipping into Luke's magic flask." Lancer couldn't hide the smirk on his face. He had been in Phin's position many a time, but somehow, is so much funnier when he was just an observer.
"Lancer..." Luke smiled up at the boy, trying to be stern. "How dare you say such things."
With a shake of his head, Lancer grabbed both boys by the arm and yanked them up into a standing position. The jolt helped to sober them, even if only a little.
"Well," Lancer looked at Bee and smiled. "It could've been worse."

[[well Phin getting drunk is gonna be quite enough for Bee for the moment anyway At least, I'm assuming they're drunk. And even if they aren't, it's enough for Bee to think so.]] The smile that had been on Bee's lips faded away and she lowered her arm, pulling it against her chest along with the other arm when she suddenly realised in what condition Luke and Phin were. She felt as though her breath caught in her lungs and she turned her eyes away. Getting drunk was something she could never approve of. She allowed Lancer going to the boys and get them up without looking, and only glanced at them briefly when Lancer spoke to her. "I suppose so," she said rather stiffly, hugging herself tight to keep her hands steady. She looked at Luke and Phin one more time, then felt something hot in her eyes and turned round, starting to walk away with quick, jerky steps. She was horribly disappointed in Phin, too disappointed to even look at him. And she remembered again why she didn't like Luke, and why she didn't like parties, and why she should have just stayed at home. Maybe she could just catch a boat back ashore. She managed only barely to hold the tears in. [[unless one of the boys comes after her, she could meet Teddy and Sweetheart at the dock...]]

[Oh, they're drunk. ;) Poor Bee.]
Luke and Phin both were a bit taken back by Bee's reaction. Lancer even had to admit that it was a bit odd to him. If she had known all of the shit Lancer was usually on, she'd never talk to him again.
"You two stay here and sober up." Lancer didn't wait for a response as he dashed off after Bee. He ran out in front of her, his arms out. "No, don't leave. You can't let this ruin the good mood you had been in earlier." He shook his head and put his hands on his hips. "Besides, they'll be fine soon enough. Half hour at the most." He smiled. "Please? Stay?"

[[Hehe you know I'm actually beginning to toy with the idea that her father would have an alcohol problem no one knows about... *lol*]]
Bee stopped when Lancer ran in front of her to block her way, but didn't look at him. She was not on a good mood anymore, and she wasn't sure if she could be made to be, either.
"I don't know. It's getting late. Maybe I should go home. I have to doublecheck my science homework anyway." She shuffled her feet nervously. She didn't want to look at Lancer, she didn't want him to see the moist in her eyes.

Lancer sighed. He wasn't used to caring about other people, and this night was really testing his limits. It was obvious that Bee had some issues, none of which he could help.
The boy shook his head. He wasn't sure what to do. Things were going so well and then bam, everything went back to the way it had been earlier. He didn't have patience for this kind of shit, and it was beginning to show.
"Look, Bee..." Lancer shifted his weight onto his left leg. His right hand rubbed his forehead, while his left hand remained on his hip. "I don't know what to do. I can't make up for their actions, which apparently have upset you pretty bad. But I know Phin, and I don't think he meant you any harm by drinking tonight." His arm dropped back down to his hip. "If you really want to go home, then I can take you back to the shore. But if you think leaving is something you might regret later on, then please, stay."

Bee hesitated. She could see Lancer wasn't about to console her and even though it hurt, it didn't really surprise her. She remembered again just what had driven them apart. She needed things he couldn't give. Possibly the other way around as well? She didn't know. She felt miserable.
"I don't know," she said with a bit of a tearful voice. She had liked Phin, she didn't want to be so neurotic, but she couldn't help it, she felt so out of place, so cold. She didn't have the nerves or the strength for this, not right now. She finally shook her head. "It's okay, Lancer, I'll be okay, but I don't think I want to stay. I shouldn't have come anyway, I just spoil everyone else's fun. Just... take care of your friend, and Phin, I'm sure I'll find a ferry back or something."

Lancer mentally sighed. Some things would never change, although it would have been nice if they had.
"Okay..." His voice was soft as he nodded. "But are you sure? I mean, I don't mind taking you to the shore."

Bright Eyes was so stressed out by all this. She remembered his earlier kindness, and failed to notice the strain on him. She smiled a little.
"Thanks..." she said softly. "I guess... I mean, that would... I'd like that."

Lancer smiled in relief. Finally, she was calm. "Alright." With a nod, he motioned toward the woods. "Let's leave those two geniuses to sober up."

Bee looked behind her, and a rush of worry went over her.
"Oh... are you sure?" she asked. She may freak out easily over things like this, but she didn't feel comfortable leaving the two drunks to their own devices. "Maybe... we should take them to the other side after all. I mean, what if... what if they will fall into the sea?"
A ridiculous thought, perhaps, but she wasn't very accustomed to these situations.
