Making Dresses (Saturday)

"Yes, darling," she said and kissed him on the cheek. "Let's go to your place."

Ace looked back over his shoulder as Dan and BP approached, watching them with a bit of envy. He and Chip would never be able to act so carefree in front of everyone, would they? Wasn't there always a chance that someone would be around who shouldn't be? When BP looked down and offered the greeting he forced a smile on his face and stood up. "I see you two patched up nicely." He glanced at the rope tied to the boat, tied to one of the moors not too far from Chip. Instead of asking Chip to undo it though, he walked the few paces to it, standing in front of Chip, just a bit to the side. Besides, who knew if Chip knew how to untie nautical knots anyway? He set about undoing it, taking the moment to get a grip on himself. He had to at least try and seem his usual self, when all he really wanted to do was hide behind Chip until they got home. He was still a little confused as to why he was so high strung right now. Maybe the guilt over his actions of earlier were really starting to gnaw at him.

...awwww poor Ace. I just wanna cuddle him now. ]]

Ace's mood was not left unnoticed by Chip. He felt a tinge of guilt and sadness, all mingled. He wasn't sure how openly he could have tried consoling Ace right then. He recalled all the times he had taken great risks, great risks indeed with his companions in their university city. But that had been far away, there had been no one who would have known him, or cared. There it had all been different... it felt bad to him that now that he had actually found someone he really cared about he couldn't show it to him openly, but when it hadn't mattered, he had had all the freedom in the world.

And shit with it, he thought then, as a hot and cold flash went through him all at once. Let it not be said of Chip Tirano that he is afraid.

He got up from his seat when Ace set out to untie the rope, so that he stood right next to the boy. He put his other hand on the blond's shoulder and grabbed the rope with the other, leaning over to kiss him on the cheek.

"Let me get that for you," he said with a gentle voice, his other hand caressing the boy's back a little.

Bp was tense for a moment before Chip moved closer to Ace and kissed him. She immediately relaxed and looked up at Dan. With a grin, she mouthed the word "awww".



[So... does anyone remember what we did with the girls? o_O]

Ace was startled when Chip stood next to him and put a hand on his shoulder, not having expected him to do anything of the sort. And when Chip kissed him he was even more surprised. He turned his head to look up into Chip's eyes, the expression in his own still a little surprised initially. After a moment though he smiled and put one of his arms around Chip's waist and kissing him on the chin. "Thanks." It wasn't for the offer to untie the rope that he was thanking Chip for, it was his willingness to take a chance and be affectionate that really meant a lot to him. Maybe it wouldn't be as bad as he'd been thinking initially, if Chip was willing to chance putting things out in the open. Once the rope was untied he realized they'd have to turn around and really acknowledge the other couple. It was then that it really hit him full force. He and Chip were a couple now, weren't they? Just like anyone else, two people sharing something special. He had thought of that before, but maybe finally acting like a couple in front of another couple had been the prod his mind had needed to really acknowledge what the relationship was turning into.

So with a brighter smile on his face he turned around and slumped against Chip, putting his arm back around his waist and looking directly at BP and Dan. "Well then, I usually charge a fee for ferrying others around, but I suppose I can let it slide for tonight." He winked at BP when he made the comment, hoping that her company was indeed going to keep Dan in good spirits.

*I can't remember where we left off with them either! Damn the romance, taking over everything;) *

[[basically, Em has her arm around Sparky's shoulders and everyone are just happy that her dress has been complimented. I have a feeling Sparky might have a feeling or two about having her so close right now.... ]]

Chip felt a rush like never before when Ace wrapped an arm round his waist and kissed his chin. It felt strange, but good - usually he only got a rush like that when he went out dancing, or did something crazy like that, which was the main reason he kept always moving, doing things; to feel that rush again. But this time it was the rush of excitement of a beginning relationship. Of something that was being confirmed between him and Ace. And he realised that, even with all the cuddling he had done with Flash, it had always lacked this certain something. It had lacked the depth of feeling he and Ace shared.

He was grinning by the time they turned to look at Dan and Bp again, and he held his arms tight around Ace now. Yes. They were a couple. Really. Truly. And Chip met Dan's eyes with a sparkle that had missed from them in such a long time that Dan was shocked into silence for a long moment.

Dan could not bring himself to frown at Ace now. Or to the cuddling between him and Chip. The expression on Chip's face was too happy. And it pained him in a way he had not realised would be possible. He knew he had never felt that kind of happiness himself. He enjoyed Bp's company, but it was not love - not the kind of love he saw shining in Chip's eyes at that moment.

Dan could do nothing but be silent for a long while, trying to get himself back in control. His face was unreadable.

Bp smiled as the two men turned, both with happiness stamped across their foreheads. They were so cute together, and so obviously in love. Just then she turned to see Dan's expression, which was blank. She didn't quite understand, though she could come up with several reasons. With a silent sigh, she looked out at the water. Men... they were so emotional.

Ace's comment brought a grin to her face. "You're too kind, Bailey."

Ace shrugged at BP's comment, "I try, Beebop. I try." He had been a little surprised at the lack of expression on Dan's face though. He had been expecting to see something, even if it had been the unwanted look of anger or aggravation he'd been expecting. Maybe Dan just hadn't been expecting he and Chip to be cuddly and had been too shocked to say anything. Regardless, Ace was content so long as Dan wasn't looking angry.

"Well I guess we should be going. So I suggest the two of you either sit down or hold on to the rail, because we'll be going very fast. And seeing as how the water always gets choppier in the evening," he glanced out at the water, which had indeed gotten a bit rougher with the wind that had picked up, "it may be a bit of a bumpy ride." With that said he pulled his arm from around Chip, but instead of simply walking over to the wheel himself, he trailed his hand down Chip's arm and latched on to his hand, pulling the older male after him. "Now I would offer to let you drive, Chip, but frankly I don't know if you know how to handle a boat, and seeing as how this isn't mine and it is ridiculously expensive, I can't quite let you drive it." He was standing behind the wheel now and turned the ignition, the boat's motor roaring to life. "But if you want, you can stand behind me and put your hands over mine and get acquainted with how to steer this thing." Ace was grinning quite wickedly, thoroughly enjoying teasing Chip. He looked over his other shoulder at Bp, the grin still on his face, laughing just a bit. He wanted to thank her for patching up with Dan and coming along, but now wasn't exactly the time. So he just hoped she could tell from his expression how grateful he was. Not only for right now, but also for not turning on him over the whole issue with Teddy.

Chip was slightly concerned over the expression - or the lack of expression - on Dan's face, but he didn't let it bother himself at the time. He was too concentrated on his own feelings.

Chip followed Ace to the wheel and grinned a bit when the boy spoke. Oh, yeah, as if he didn't know how to drive a boat.... but he indeed liked what Ace was suggesting in any case. So he put his hands on the wheel over Ace's and leaned over him, pressing a kiss on the boy's neck.

"I'll do me best tae learn, then, Cap'n," he said with a horrible fake pirate accent. Then he gave a laugh and rested his chin on Ace's shoulder.

Dan managed to finally snap out of it when the other two males moved to the wheel. He shook his head and a lopsided smile came on his lips as he pulled Bp against him and proceeded to sit down - just in case. He didn't want to take any chances - and besides, he hoped the girl might choose to sit on his lap.

When Em wrapped her arms around hers own, Sparky bit down on her lip at first, silently cursing Emmaline for having no idea what she was doing to her. But she couldn't possibly hold it against her and she couldn't act too strangely either, she didn't want Em to think she'd offended her. So she tightened her arms around Em's in a friendly gesture, fighting to control her urge to just shove the other girl on the floor and make out with her. She decided to at least go on a safe route and talk about clothing some more. "Yeah actually I really like your outfit too Em. In fact, I was just planning some Halloween outfits for the four of us, but maybe I'll change them a bit. Yours has kind of inspired me." With that she did the normal thing she would have done and trailed her eyes over Em's body beside her, intending just to pay attention to the way the clothes sat on her but was instead distracted by how much skin they showed. At this point she was now simply thankful that women didn't have the physical give-away men did when they were turned on.

Moki hadn't given much thought to bringing Em in to see her friends in her outfit, but then she hadn't expected Em to take to Sparky so quickly. As she watched them she quickly realized Sparky's interest in her friend and a blush sprang to her cheeks, not quite having any idea how to remedy the situation and give Sparky some breathing room without Em wondering if she had done something wrong. They needed a distraction, if only Loki were her she knew he'd think of something. Her brother had a bit more experience with handling uncomfortable situations like this and he did know Emmaline, so it would be easier than hoping either Cara or Brit could realize the situation. However, she suddenly had a jolt of inspiration. "Hey, does anyone want anything? To drink, or eat?" She quickly added the last line, looking pointedly at Sparky. She knew exactly what Sparky wanted at that moment, and it wasn't something that could be served in a glass.


*Man, when did Sparky become such a horndog on me? :D*

Brit, of course, noticed nothing. She was not very attentive that way. She just thought Em was terribly cute with her innocent ways.

Cara, on the other hand, was pretty sure she detected some interest in Sparky toward Em, though she couldn't be sure. Sparky had been so flirtatious to them all that she wasn't sure if she could trust to her judgement on it. Cara didn't consider herself an especially good judge of people that way.

When Moki asked for a drink, Brit smiled at once - she had been getting bored already.

"Oh, I'd love something to drink, I think I'm dying here," she said. Unhelpfully - without realising it - she looked at Sparky and Em with a smile. "If you two are busy, I can get some for you as well."

Bp smiled to Ace. She hoped his night would get better. Things had been rough on everyone.

As Dan sat, she allowed herself to be brought down onto his lap. She draped an arm across his shoulders, winking at the man. "You might want to hold on."


Em's eyes went wide. "Halloween?" She gave a bright smile as she hugged Sparky's arm and bounced in excitement. "I remember Halloween! Richard and I used to love it..." Her voice trailed away as Moki and Brit spoke. Once again, she smiled, though this time not to big. "Water?"

Ace smiled when he felt Chip's hands slide over his own, glad he'd made the suggestion. This was the closest to cuddling they'd be able to manage until they got to his place and he was more than happy to get lost in the moment. They sped back toward the dock, as Ace leaned back against Chip, turning his head a few times to kiss him.


*Cres and I decided that both our guys walked down to the docks as it's close to their buildings, so do you guys want to skip to when they get to the dock, or when they split up near their buildings? I guess we should move them to the downtown home board though now, so whoever wants to post next for them should just move them there*



Sparky looked at Brit and felt like cursing her. She'd just had to go and ruin the good opportunity for her to get up, didn't she? Regardless, Sparky did know that it would be best if she got untangled from Em. But how to manage doing it without making Em worry?

"You know I'm not sure what I want, so I think I'll come see what you have." Squeezing Em's arms again, Sparky slid out of the embrace and stood up, looking at Moki and smiling before looking back down at Em. "Maybe I'll design you something for Halloween too, Em, if you want." She then looked over at Cara at shot her a smile. "You want anything?"

[[Eh, I don't really mind either way. I think it would be nice to play a little bit of the walk at least, if not the whole way.]]


Brit nodded when Sparky said she didn't know what she wanted. She still didn't catch on to the actual point of the whole beverage-fetching trip, and so she just waited for the others.

Cara, for her part, thought she understood. And just to make sure that Em wouldn't come with them all and thus stay away from Sparky a little - perhaps out of jealousy more than anything else - she decided to stay behind while the others went to get drinks. She smiled to Sparky and said: "Oh, you girls could bring some juice for me, whatever is cool, as long as it isn't lemonade or soda. God knows I get enough of that stuff at the pizzeria."
