Clinging to Chip, Ace let him change their position, not making a sound as Chip held him tightly. This was really all he wanted right now, someone to hold him and care about him, to worry about his problems and help him. He was so grateful to Chip right now, he felt like pulling back and kissing him, but he knew that might only remind Chip of earlier frustrations. Right now he was content to stay in his arms, close his eyes and relax. The feeling he'd had earlier in the night of feeling safe in Chip's arms was coming back. He felt like he could just stay here forever, let Chip take care of him and push all of his problems away.
He knew that couldn't happen, of course. He had to face his issues at some point, but right now wasn't the time. Now was just the time to sit here and feel comfortable. He briefly wondered how Chip would react if he asked him to stay for the night, to hold him while he slept. He didn't want to push his luck, though. So he said nothing.

Chip felt warm and comfortable. The way Ace was clinging to him reminded him of the lonely nights he had spent on just the opposite bed to Dan in the boarding school. How Chip had hugged his pillows and his blanket, tears filling his eyes, as he wished he could have just told Dan everything... wished he could have just gone to him, and asked to be in his arms for a while. To tell of what pressed on his heart, and feel safe, for once.
He had the feeling he was being that someone to cling to at that moment to Ace. And though the memories of his own past and his own needs were painful, he had to feel better for the thought he could, at least, be that to someone. It made him feel stronger than he was. Feel as strong as he pretended to be.
He didn't think he needed to push Ace anymore. Not that night. Not now. This was good the way it was. Peaceful. Calm. Warm. This was well.
The excitement of the day and the fact that Chip had hardly slept at all for the past few days were beginning to take his toll. Slowly, he began to drifting off to sleep, his head still resting against Ace's head, his arms tightly wrapped around the blond's body.

Ace was feeling very at ease on the couch with Chip, comfortable but not all that tired. Judging from Chip's loosening grip, though, he figured he must be falling asleep too. So, what to do? Stay here on the couch as not to ruin the moment? Suggest they go sleep in his bed? Put a blanket over Chip and leave him here then go sleep in his bed? Whatever happened, he was pretty sure that he wanted to stay with Chip. Maybe they'd just stay here, make it seem less weird when they woke up tomorrow morning, pretending that he'd just fallen asleep out here too. So he closed his eyes and tried to will himself to sleep. He was relaxed and comfortable, just not tired. Not that this was anything new, he'd been having trouble sleeping for the past two years. He usually only ever got three or four hours a night, sometimes not even any. It was a wonder he functioned as well as he did.

[[uhh... I'm willing to say that Chip just fell asleep and woke up the next morning, what about you?]]

(Yes, here's the plan: Ace managed to sleep for about three hours eventually, but woke up at his usual time of 530 and managed to slip out of Chip's arms and go to the kitchen to make some breakfast, probably eggs, bacon, toast, etc, then he woke Chip up around 630 so he could eat, told him he was totally grateful for last night and that it meant a lot to him and that one day he'd tell him everything, then around 7 he told him that he had to go because he needed to go for his morning run, haha, so I guess he walked Chip back to his place then went for his run, then the next day starts! That alright with you? :)

[[Perfecto! ^-^ That would have left Chip feeling quite nice about himself, hehe. He loves it when someone else makes him breakfast, as he's usually the one who has to cook. Poor thing. Heheh. Oh - shall we say they kissed for goodbye or just hug or something? (a small detail but it's kinda meaningful to me)]]

(Yes, details: I'm thinking that as he was serving Chip breakfast- Ace loves cooking for people even though he's been cooking for himself since he was 12, hehe, he probably would have mentioned how strict he is with eating, how he only eats healthy food; Chip should definitely put that info away for later; when they get to Dan's, they would definitely hug and I'm thinking Chip should maybe kiss Ace on the cheek, since he doesn't want to push anything, but Ace would kiss him on the lips right before he leaves, no tongue though, just something soft and sweet. How's that? :)

[[*smiles* sounds cute and sweet and wonderful. I don't think Chip would have been saying awful much, so on that account we don't have to worry. Hehe. But that's really cute. I think we can stick to that for details. I'm supposing we're both free to carry on both of them elsewhere, right? Oh - they wouldn't have made any plans for later, would they?]]

(No, they probably would have just said that they'll see each other at school and around, and Ace would have reminded him about spa day this weekend;)
