"What can I say? Great minds think alike." He grinned at Pekoe as he took his pretzel.
Pale eyes went wide as Jeremy watched Pekoe cover her lips in cinnamon and sugar. He gave a laugh before taking a large bite of his pretzel, covering his mouth and surrounding areas in even more sugar and cinnamon. "Top that."

Pekoe grinned at Jeremy, her eyes taking on an excited gleam. At that moment though Sunny, having heard the exchange, turned around and barely looked at Pekoe before grabbing her arm that was holding the pretzel. "Might I remind you children that you're in a shopping mall, with even younger children? So there will be none of that perverse stuff happening."
Pekoe looked at Sunny, shocked. "Well, I never! How dare you insinuate that?"
Sunny rolled her eyes, letting go of her arm. "Oh please. You're unbelievable, why am I still friends with you?" Her tone was one of amusement, obviously not serious about her comment.
"Because I bring out your wild side." Pekoe grinned at her, winking.
"Oh right, you mean this wild side?" Before Pekoe had any idea of what was to come, Sunny reached out with her hand and pulled Pekoe's head to hers, her tongue darting out to lick some of the sugar from Pekoe's lips. She pulled back immediately, grinning at a shocked Pekoe.

Jeremy smirked as Sunny gave them a talking to. He really would have to hang out with these two more often. They were hilarious.
What happened next, though, caught him off guard. Jeremy's jaw just about hit the ground as Sunny licked off the cinnamon and sugar off of Pekoe's lips. His shock quickly turned into a smirk and then a laugh. "I have to admit. That was fucking hot."

Sunny looked at him and rolled her eyes, seemingly unamused for the moment. "Well, Captain Obvious strikes again!" She grinned immediately upon speaking, no longer looking annoyed, making it obvious that her momentary look of displeasure was meant only jokingly.
Pekoe, however, was still a little shocked. "Dude, why haven't you ever done that before? Are you trying to kill me or something?" The girls laughed, walking away from the counter, eating their pretzels.
"So, are we walking and eating with the pretzels or what? I have no fear in my ability to keep my pretzel to myself and not on the merchandise in the store, but I have worries about some of us being able to do the same." She grinned at Pekoe, before looking at Jeremy and winking.

Jeremy snorted at Sunny's response to his comment. She could be as sarcastic as she wanted, it wouldn't bother him. His own twin was the most sarcastic asshole he had ever met.
Licking the sugar and cinnamon from his lips, Jeremy shrugged. "I probably shouldn't be trusted, either."

"I think you two are going to be getting along quite well on our shopping mall adventure then. Maybe I should make you wait outside while I go shopping."
"Mm, that sounds like a plan!" Pekoe winked at Sunny before tearing another piece off her pretzel with her teeth.
"Just remember, that means I won't buy you anything." Sunny grinned and headed in to one of her favourite clothing stores, Costa Blanca, without a second glance back at the two outside.
Pekoe looked at Jeremy. "So, do you wanna just stand out here or follow her in and harass her?"

Jeremy continued to eat as he followed the two girls. His pretzel was already almost gone. Looking at Pekoe, he swallowed the wad of food in his mouth and shrugged. "As much as I love a little harassment, I think I'll sit this one out."
Truth be told, he didn't have any ulterior motives at this point. He honestly just felt like giving Sunny a break. Well, that and he feared what would happen if he went in there with his pretzel.

Sunny walked in to the store, heading immediately to a rack containing beaded skirts. Finishing the last bite of her pretzel she folded the wrapper up into a small square and put it in her purse before looking at the skirt. Over the summer she'd developed a sudden adoration for skirts, buying five of them alone while in Sweden. She looked through them, picking three different ones out to try on. She walked over to the dressing room, passing by a couple that sent a bit of a pang to her heart. It had only been two days since she'd last been with Rex, her boyfriend, but the days were stretching out very long for her. She hadn't made it any easier on herself today though by spending next to her whole lunch hour with Ace, telling him about what she and Rex had been up to during the last two weeks of vacation before classes started. Her parents, who luckily adored Rex and had no problem with their sixteen-year-old daughter dating a twenty-one-year-old, had let her stay at his apartment downtown for the majority of those two weeks. So to go from being with him every day all day to not seeing him for two days had really hit her. She went into the change room and distracted herself by trying on skirts.
Pekoe watched Sunny heading for the skirts, feeling slightly compelled to trail after her and also try on clothes. Sunny hadn't been joking when she'd mentioned buying Pekoe clothes, the Allisters had no shortage of money and with Sunny being an only child, she had a lot of money to spend. Pekoe's own parents barely had enough to pay their bills, let alone buy anything for their kids. Not that she ever expected her parents to ever buy her anything anyway, they prefered to squander what little money they had left over on alcohol.
She looked at Jeremy and smiled, glancing behind her and spotting a bench. "We might as well sit down, she might be a while." She walked over and took a seat on the bench, still nibbling on her pretzel.

Jeremy busied himself by watching the flocks of people passing by. There were some strange people in this world, and he was one of them. Not that he had a problem with that, or anything.
His attention was brought back to Pekoe as she spoke to him. He nodded and followed her to the bench, taking a seat beside her. The last bite of his pretzel was shoved into his mouth. He was feeling a little uneasy. Sure, he'd been alone with numerous girls, but that was entirely different. This time, he wasn't looking to get laid.

"So, what's it like having so many siblings? To just ask a completely random question." Pekoe laughed and turned sideways on the bench, sitting so she was looking at Jeremy. She knew he had a large family and often wondered what it was like to have so many other kids around. Bones, her older brother, was more than enough for her, she wouldn't have wanted anyone else around.

Jeremy was pulled from his revere at the sound of Pekoe's voice. He smiled as she turned to face him. The question she had asked was all too familiar to him.
"Noisy. Very noisy." He chuckled and shook his head with a slight shrug. "But really, it's not that bad. My brothers and I usually all get along pretty damn well. My parents did a good job raising us." He paused for a minute and licked his lips. His eyes trailed off to the side for a moment before returning to Pekoe. "It's Shawn I feel sorry for, sense she's the only girl out of ten kids."

"Ouch, nine brothers. No offence to you guys, but that must really suck." Pekoe grinned, "I only have one brother, but he's excellent, more like a father at times really, he gets on these protective kicks every now and then."

Jeremy laughed. "Yeah, we drive her nuts at times."
His laughter subsided as he thought about what Pekoe had said. "That's pretty cool. I know that a lot of girls don't get along with their brothers."

Pekoe shrugged, looking away from Jeremy out into the hall. "I don't really have a choice whether or not we get along, we need to get along, living with our parents." She put extra stress on the word need. Though she never talked about her parents much, most people knew that they weren't exactly the greatest people in the world, though not having any idea how bad it really was. Otherwise, Pekoe and Bones would have been removed from their parents' care years earlier.

Jeremy chewed on his bottom lip. He looked around before returning his attention to the girl sitting next to him. "I'm sorry..."
He shifted uncomfortably. He wasn't very good with this kind of stuff, especially when he couldn't relate to the problem. "I'm not good with this sort of thing..." He gave a small, embarrassed chuckle. "Do you want a hug?"
