A set of crystal eyes glanced around, squinting past the sunlight pouring through the mall's glass roof. There was plenty of eye candy to be enjoyed. But sadly it was all beginning to look the same.
Jeremy sipped at his coke, wondering if he'd ever be able to add a little zest to his sex life. Girls these days all seemed to be exactly the same. Or at least, the whores were. He was beginning to get bored.
After setting his drink down on the table, Jeremy leaned back in his chair. The food court was the perfect place to observe people. Now all he had to do was wait for someone to catch his eye.

Sunny stood, leaning against the railing, looking behind her and shaking her head. Having missed lunch she was very hungry, but for whateve reason Pekoe didn't quite get the concept of "eat now shop later". Finally her best friend emerged from the t-shirt shop, looking sheepish. "Sorry sorry, but they had that Rainbow Brite shirt I saw on-line!! You know how much I love her."
Sunny sighed, simply turning around and grabbing Pekoe's arm, dragging her toward the food court. "I'm going to die if I don't eat! Do you want that on your conscience?"
Pekoe laughed, following Sunny. "Alright fine, go get food. I'll be sitting at a table, alright?" Sunny quickly made for her favourite stop in the food court, Teriyaki Experience, as Pekoe sat at the table next to Jeremy's, glancing over at him.

Jeremy watched as Sunny and Pekoe came closer. He made a point to look away. Staring was never a good thing.
Once Pekoe sat down, Jeremy looked at her and smiled. They had a couple classes together, and he'd always thought she was cute.
Pale eyes glanced down at the cup that was being twirled in his hand. Instead of speaking, Jeremy simply glanced back up at Pekoe and gave her one of his award winning smiles.

Pekoe glanced over at Jeremy, smiling back at him. "Hey, Jer. Up to anything exciting after our first day back at classes?" She glanced back over to where Sunny was, watching as she paid for her food before turning back to Jeremy. "We're just shopping. Well we will be after Sunshine eats, that is."

Jeremy mentally grinned. That always seemed to get them talking. "Eh, you know..." He shrugged a shoulder and looked down at his drink again. "Sitting on my ass doing nothing."
It was a risky thing to say. For a moment he wondered if he should have tried to cater to something the girl would like. But then again, being a dork with nothing to do worked well. If only it weren't the sad truth.

Pekoe grinned, leaning an elbow on the table. "Sounds wonderful, I envy you." She looked back and watched as Sunny walked over carrying her tray and sitting down across from her.
Sunny glanced at Jeremy, smiling. "Hey. You guys just go on conversing, don't expect me to add much as I stuff my face." She grinned before picking up her chop sticks, twirling her noodles and teriyaki beef strips around.
"You're such a pig, I'm so jealous. You can eat enough for three and yet you still remain scrawny." Pekoe mockingly glared at Sunny, smelling her food and feeling a little hungry herself.
"That's because I exercise, moron." Sunny stuck her tongue out at Pekoe before continuing to eat.
"Man, you see how she abuses me and calls me names? This one's supposed to be my best friend, fuckin' ho." Sunny looked up from her food, mouth full of noodles, putting her chopsticks down to press her fist to her mouth, trying not to laugh so she wouldn't choke. This just made Pekoe laugh, who looked over at Jeremy and shrugged. "Oh, feel the love!"

Jeremy smiled and contemplated extending an invitation Pekoe's way. Sitting on your ass with someone else is always better. His opportunity passed though as Sunny returned. He smiled and nodded to her in greeting.
As the girls conversed, Jeremy couldn't help but to chuckle. They were cute, and funny. Two important things. "I'll have to refrain from joining in on the love fest the two of you have going on."

Pekoe frowned. "Oh, there's always room for more! The more the merrier! Besides, I thought you were all in on love fests." She grinned at him, shifting in her seat to fully face him.

Jeremy smiled brightly. Things were moving along perfectly. Hopefully they continued to do so. "Only with the right company."

Pekoe raised an eyebrow, looking at him. "And just what constitutes the right company, I wonder? Fill a girl in."
Sunny listened as Pekoe and Jeremy spoke back and forth, quietly eating her food. She was happy to see her best friend being so friendly, especially after the slightly depressed state she'd been in most of the summer.

"Well..." Jeremy grinned and leaned back in his chair. "They have to have a nice personality, a good sense of humor, and sense I'm shallow, a nice body." His grin turned into a smirk. "But they also have to be very... friendly."

Pekoe glanced over at Sunny, raising her eyesbrows in question. Sunny looked at her friend and shrugged, twirling more noodles around. Pekoe looked back at Jeremy and grinned, laughing a little. "That's a good list, pretty stable." She looked back at Sunny expectantly.
Sunny sighed and laid her chopsticks down, laying both arms on the table. "Well Cockaloo, as Meatloaf once said, two outta three ain't bad." She gave a curt nod before resuming her meal.
"Well sunshine, what's the missing link then?"
Sunny grinned before answer, as though she were waiting for this very opportunity. "Oh no, I meant you only have one thing for you. Your personality stinks and your sense of humour is crap, you are pretty though, I'll give you that." Sunny laughed as Pekoe huffed, turning to look at Jeremy instead.
"Like I said, total fuckin' ho."

Jeremy gave a sideway smile. He was quite amused at this point. But he still wanted to end up with Pekoe. She seemed like she would be fun.
As the two girls spoke again, Jeremy couldn't help but to laugh. "Ah, but you love her."

"Oh sure I love her." Sunny glanced up when she heard Pekoe's statement, knowing something bad would be following. "I love her like herpes!"
"I so thought you were going to say you love me like you love the crab louse, seeing as how you were quoting that song earlier today. Thanks for letting me down, Cockaloo."
"Sorry sweetheart, better luck next time." She turned back to Jeremy, leaning her head on her hand. "I apologize for our utterly ridiculous behaviour."

He chuckled. "It's not ridiculous." There was that smile again. "It's actually kind of cute. In a twisted kind of way."
