The first day of school. What clown came up with this torture? Why ruin a perfect summer with something like school. Bah.
Bon Bon would have been frowning if she hadn't already seen and had a make-out session with Hoops twenty minutes ago. Instead she was smiling as she wandered about the halls in search of her locker. Where was that stupid thing anyway? Had someone moved it? Now why would they do that? Bon was on the verge of asking someone when she literally rounded the corner and ran smack into ...

Princess yawned as she walked down the hallway, wishing she had gotten more sleep the night before. That would teach her not to stay up until 3am watching tv on a school night. The late nights of summer were over, unfortunately.
Looking at the lockers as she came to the corner she didn't bother to look in front of her, walking straight into Bon Bon. As she briefly contemplated strangling whoever had had the nerve to bump into her, she looked at the culprit and decided she could let her off the hook.
"Bon, hey. Nice to know I'm not the only one not paying attention this morning." Interupted by a yawn, Princess grinned sheepishly before continuing. "So, how was your summer?"

Catching herself, Bon was grateful that at least this clumsy episode hadn't ended with her landing with a thump on the floor. How she hated to be the center of attention when she did something embarrassing.
"Hi Princess." Bon replied picking on the lone book that had dared to slip from her hands when she'd bumped into the other, "In a word awesome! How about yours?"
GingerSnap had been an angel and talked Bon's parents into letting her spend a couple of weeks in Europe with her, because as Gin had put it she'd be lonely with no one there she knew. Had Bon Bon's parents known that Hoops was conveniently going to be there at the same time the answer would have been a very hasty no. Thankfully though, they didn't and still had no clue.

Princess smiled as she watched Bon Bon pick up her book-- hurrah for bags. "Eh, nothing too exciting, bummed around here for the most part. Although I did go and visit Maple in Montreal for three weeks though, muchos exciting. Sex with French dudes is always great." Princess laughed, shifting onto her other foot. "Well B, as nice as it is to chat, I should go and find my locker and then find my class. Must leave extra time in there in case they slotted some lame*ss freshman beside me, which would require a quick dash to the office to complain." Reaching out a hand and squeezing Bon Bon's arm, she said a friendly goodbye, then continued down the hall to her locker.

Bright Eyes had a sick feeling in her stomach this morning. Back to school never felt good for her. She had almost completely forgotten those days back in Elementary and Middle School when she was actually excited to learn. Now school only meant more work for her, which meant more grief from her father, which she absolutely loathed.
Luckily, however, she had found her locker without any major problems even though they had moved it from last year. She was now on her way to homeroom with her new binder and notebooks in her arms. It wasn’t much to carry. In fact, the worst was yet to come. It was always a major pain carrying around all those textbooks that the teachers would distribute on the first day. Be knew she’d probably end up with the crappy-ass books that were in the very back of the closets that were practically falling apart. It was bound to happen like it had many times in the past.
She saw Bon Bon in the hallway and paused. She remembered being good friends with the other girl back when they were kids. She hardly ever heard from her nowadays and it was kind of a shame how they drifted apart. Nonetheless, Be figured the first day of school might as well be a good time for new beginnings, no matter how hallmark it sounded. Before having any time to approach her, she saw her bump into another girl she barely knew. From her looks, she looked like a very popular person.
Unsure what to do, Bright Eyes retreated to the girl’s bathroom and busied herself with her hair. Later, she emerged, finding Princess nowhere in sight. She walked up to Bon Bon with a bit more confidence, “Hello, Bon Bon. It’s been awhile…” She said.
(ooc: Perhaps they could have the same homeroom so they can walk together and converse or something? Just a thought.)

Bon Bon chuckled. She could only imagine what sex with French guys must be like. As of yet she hadn't snagged one for a one-night stand. But than it wasn't like she was actually planning to anytime soon with having Hoops wrapped around her little finger.
"Yeah. I still need to find mine." Bon admitted, "Happy hunting. You know they put a freshman near you. I think they get some twisted kick out of it. With my luck I've probably got one on each side."
The teenager made a mental note to have Hoops show up in that case just to send home the fact 'you so much as breath on me and this guy will kill you'. The thought brought a smile to her face. It was good to be dating the Captain of the basketball team.
"Catch you later." Bon called after Princess' retreating figure.
Shifting her books she silently cursed herself for leaving her book bag at home. Hearing someone talking to her Bon turned her head in the direction of the voice.
"Been ages." Bon agreed, "How have you been BE? Have a nice summer?"
[OOC: Sure. That would be all right with me.]

The last of the stragglers were leaving the hallway as Bon and Bright Eyes neared homeroom. Slipping inside Bon Bon flopped into the closest, open seat she could spot. As chance, or luck, would have it the one right next to her was also open. Since it seemed that everyone but the two of them had already arrived, that meant Bright Eyes would be sitting next to her. Bon smiled. It had been far too long since the two of them had hung out. Something that would have to be remedied before too long.

Once homeroom was dismissed Bon all but bolted from the room. Rules. Too many rules. It was just like being at home. Had her parents talked to her teachers already? Had they joined forces to make her life completely miserable? Maybe it was just bad luck … but than why did it always happen to her?

Rosie had grabbed her bag and bolted right out of the door behind Bon Bon, practically running into her. Even though she had looked at her schedule a dozen times this morning she pulled it out again, forgetting what class she had. Science. Joy, she hated science! She looked again to see what room her class was in then started off in that direction, her eyes roaming the hallways for friends. She hadn't really seen anyone she felt confident enough to talk to. She didn't really have that many close friends after all and she was desperately yearning for one this morning. Maybe she'd have a friend in science class, she'd just have to wait and see.
