Some peace and quiet (Saturday)

Teddy took a seat on the white sand, his back propped up against a tree trunk. He raised his arms out to Sweetheart, silently asking her to snuggle up against him, or even on his lap.

The boy was at a loss of words at the moment, which was a rare event indeed. He just didn't know what to say... he wanted to make things better between everyone, but he didn't know how. All he knew was that he wanted to make Sweetheart smile. This had been a rough night for her, too.

Sweetheart cuddled into Teddy's lap eagerly, hugging him as she made herself comfortable there. She wrapped her arms round the boy's neck and kissed him on the cheek before snuggling her head against his shoulder.

"This isn't exactly the way I planned this would all go," she said quietly.

"Me either..." Teddy sighed and have Sweetheart a little squeeze. "Definitely a night to remember." He let out a soft chuckle, trying desperately to lighten the mood.

"I really am sorry, though." He looked down at the girl in his arms. "Do you think maybe we should just go back to my place? There'd be less drama.... or we could stay here... the weather's great.... I'm just nervous, I guess." The boy continued to ramble on about nothing. It was obvious how frazzled he was. He just wanted things to get better.

Sweetheart smiled and reached over to kiss Teddy gently on the lips to stop his rambling. Then she pulled back again and looked at him, love shining in her eyes.

"You don't need to apologise, Teddy," she said. "You haven't done anything wrong. I mean... look, let's do whatever you like. I came here just to be with you anyway. I don't need to stay." She snuggled her head against his shoulder and let the fingers of her other hand wander along his chest almost absent-mindedly. She smiled a little as a strange thought came to her. Teddy and Dan had more in common than either of them perhaps even realised.

Teddy happily kissed Sweetheart in return. It felt so good to be able to be like this in public and not have to worry what someone thought. They were officially together now. And it had only taken around eight years.

"You're amazing, you know that?" Teddy hugged Sweetheart as tightly as possible without hurting her. "Let's get out of here." As he spoke, he began to untangle himself from the girl and stand. He stretched a hand out to Sweetheart, offering to help her stand. "And then we can have some, uh, privacy." A playful growl escaped from the boy's lips and he smiled. His spirits were obviously rising, as well as other things. Not that he actually intended for anything to happen that night.



[So, is Dan going to notice them, or no? lol I can only imagine how ticked he might be seeing them together after Bp blew him off. ::shakes her head:: She's such an evil thing. Oh! And to answer your question from LJ, no Bp isn't going to do anything else that involves drama.]

[[Heeheeehee yeah that's a good idea - was going to propose it myself. And yeah, Bp is a wicked creature, but that's why I love her. Hehe. So, I will have him notice them before he'll notice Bp, I think... in the other thread. Errr this is tricky with the thread though. Will we move these two there? Or them here? Or start a new thread? Or shall Teddy and Sweets not even notice Dan and Bp? O.o *lol* You decide! *shakes off responsibility your way* ^-^]]


Sweetheart was happy to see Teddy's spirits rising. She giggled as she let him help her up, and latched herself onto him, her hands around his neck and a happy smile on her lips.

"I like privacy," she said with a twinkle in her eyes. It was not completely clear on her exactly what they would do with that privacy but she had the distinct feeling that her religious convictions had been slipping of late. At that moment it didn't concern her, however. She was beginning to enjoy the "life of sin". She had come to notice that Teddy's presence gave her a pleasant tingle, and his kisses and the way he touched her made her feel all sorts of things.

In passing she pondered upon the old saying that "when good girls go bad, they go really bad", and wonder if it were true.
