Sewing On The Beach (Saturday)

Cara smiled a bit as she nodded to Sparky.

"Yeah," she said a bit quietly. "I'm beginning to learn that things ain't always what they seem."

[[Waah! Sorry Sharise, I didn't notice you'd replied! Hmm. I don't know about Phin and Bee. I was thinking I'd bring Brit over when the whole Chip-situation had calmed down. Soo now that it has for the rest of the party, she could arrive. But I don't know. She can meet Phin later as well if you rather continue with him and Bee on the beach. I'm warning you though. Phin is at the verge of making Bee fancy him. ]]

"Now let me think..." Bp looked off to the side as she pretended to contemplate what sort of a prize should be given. "No.." The vanished and was replaced by a innocent expression as she looked at Dan. "I don't think there is any sort of prize."

Dan pouted and made his best puppy-dog impression.

"That's not fair," he complained. "I was all brave and heroic for nothing. Aren't heroes supposed to get the girl?" Then a devious glint appeared in his eyes. "Maybe I'd have a better luck as a robber?" And he grabbed her by the waist again and got her up into the air, raising and lowering his eyebrows in a suggestive manner.

[[lol Well.. we could say that he and Bee chatted some about the whole Lancer situation, and he made her feel better. So they headed back to the main beach? Does that sound ok? lol]]

Bp laughed as Dan lifted her into the air. "I do like my bad boys..." A smirk crept onto her mouth. "But I don't know if you're bad enough."

There was a mischievous glint in the girl's eyes and she wrapped her legs around Dan's waist.

[Cres]

[[yeah sure! Wanna bring them back?]]

Dan raised his brows in mock shock.

"What, the most famous trickster in all Meadowbrook and I'm not bad enough for you? Huh, girl, I'll have you know I've even stolen cars. I'd say stealing a little wench like you shouldn't be a problem."

Promptly he proceeded in grabbing her lower from the waist and throwing her over his shoulder, starting to carry her a little ways off from the others, his intention to find out just how much she liked bad boys.

Bp squeaked as she was thrown over Dan's shoulder. "You brute!" Laughter poured from her as she found herself being taken away from the group. She was rather turned on at this point.

Phin had an arm around Bee's waist as they exited the forest and stepped back out onto the main beach. "Things seem to have calmed down." He smiled.

[Cres]

Dan grinned and patted the girl on her bottom as he walked into the shade of a nearby forest.

"You be a good girl and maybe I'll even let you get back to the others before the party's over," Dan said and flinged Bp back down from his shoulder again, setting her on the ground. There was a devious glint in his eyes, and it was obvious that he was all ready for a little rough games in the comfort of the forest.


Bee felt much calmer and was leaning to Phin a little more than she even realised as she walked under the boy's arm back to the main beach. She smiled happily when she noticed that everything seemed to have calmed down indeed. Even if Ace and Chip - and Dan and Bp - seemed to be missing. But she thought little of it. Others wouldn't have been so calm had the man drowned after all.

"Yes," she agreed to Phin, looking at him with eyes full of admiration. He rather reminded her of the way Lancer had been once upon a time. She chose it best not to say that aloud. She didn't want him to think she was hitting on him or being weird or something.



[[ok, time for Brit to come round, I think...]]

Brit had mostly simply overheard about the whole beach gathering. She didn't really have friends yet, though she had been in town already for some weeks. She had experienced a phase of shyness and besides, getting all her things and pets into the town had been harder than she could have imagined. Now things had calmed down, however, and she was on the mood for fun again.

The orange-red-haired girl came by the ferry to the island. She had brought with her a bag in which was her Halloween-dress - or at least, what she had so far managed to do with it. She had felt like doing some hand stitching to get the dress complete, and now that there was some expert help available, so she'd heard, she figured she might as well ask.

She sported a smile on her pretty slender features as she walked to the beach in her sandals and wrap-skirt [[one of those skirts that are basically just a long piece of cloth that you wrap around your waist; I don't have a dictionary handy right now]] and the top which revealed her belly and arms fully. She waved the moment she caught sight of the others.

"Hullo!" she called out to everyone, her usual British accent as strong as ever. "I heard there was a party, and you know, I just had to come!"

Phin nodded and smiled. His arm left Bee's waist, only to grab her hand and drag her out onto the beach. More kids had arrived by this point and were scattered off into little groups.

"So, who do y-" The boy's words got cut off by the sound of a thickly accented voice. "Huh..." Turning his head to see who had made such an entrance, Phin was greeted by the sight of a rather attractive girl. "She's obviously from Britain."


Over in the woods, Bp felt herself playing the role of Little Red Riding Hood, and Dan was the Big Bad Wolf. Slapping a pout on her face, she looked up at the man. "But... I don't know how to be good."


[Mwahah, I must throw in my new boy.]


A sleek speed boat came to a rest in the docks, and the figure of a well chiseled boy hopped out. Luke made sure to secure the boat before stepping out onto the beach. His indigo eyes shone as he threw dashing smiles and winks at everyone he greeted. It was as if his presence on the beach had momentarily stopped time. It was a power he seemed to posses.

The teen knew his best friend was here somewhere, but try as he might, Luke couldn't spot him. Not that this was a surprise. Lancer always managed to disappear.

Just as he was beginning to drift off in his thoughts, Luke's eyes landed on an unfamiliar face. A very attractive face at that.

Smooth strides brought the boy over to his newest victim. "Hello. I don't think we've met. I'm Luke." Phin stared at the taller boy for a minute before fully registering what was going on. It took him another minute to realize that there was a hand being held out in greeting.

"Hi." Phin smiled brightly and shook Luke's hand. "I'm Phin."

"Phin, eh?" Luke smiled, almost fox like. "That's a nice accent you have there. Where are you from?"

"London." Phin nodded and looked at Bee. He didn't want her to think that he had forgotten her.

Luke's eyes also went to Bee. He remembered the old days when she used to date Lance. "Hey, Bee."

Bee was a little taken aback by the arrival of the new people - the both of them. She wasn't quite comfortable with Luke, despite the fact that he was a good friend of Lancer's. Or perhaps precisely because of that fact. She did manage a smile.

"Hi, Luke," she said quietly. She made sure to smile to Phin when he turned to look at her, and remain close to him. She was rather fond of the new boy already.

Brit had heard Phin's voice and turned her head, a spark of interest glimmering instantly in her eyes.

"Oi! Is that London accent I hear?" She smiled as she stepped to Phin and Luke, her eyes going appreciatively over the both of them before zeroing in on Phin. "The last thing I expected was to find a fellow countryman! Hi there, I'm Brittany." She extended out her hand, as if to all three simultaneously.

Moki had re-joined Sparky and Cara, a smile on her face as she recounted the story of rescuing Chp out of the water. Sparky had demanded to know details and had been so proud when she'd heard them. Moki watched as more people showed up, not recognizing Luke or Brittany. She had seen Luke before, but didn't know who he was. Brittany however, she had never seen before and when she heard the accent and her exclamation to Phin, she realized she must be new as well.

Glancing at Sparky and Cara, she motioned toward the litle group. "Shall we go say hello, then, ladies?"

Luke glared at the new comer as she eyed Phin. Not only was she intruding, but she also seemed to have a few things in common with his new toy. This really pissed Luke off.

The glare was quickly replaced by an all too sweet smile. Brittany could win this time... he'd just make sure that the rest of her time spent at the school was hell.

"Yes." Phin smiled at Brittany and shook her hand. He was unaware of the thoughts running through Luke's mind. "You from London, too?"

Not giving her time to respond, Phin continued. "This is Luke." He motioned to the boy, and then looked at Bee. "And this is Bee. I think she might be my new best friend." Not thinking about it, Phin flung his arm over Bee's shoulder. He was quite fond of the girl.

Brit was totally unaware of any thoughts going through Luke's mind - which she wouldn't have understood even if she had known. She smiled brightly to Phin, and to Bee, and to Luke - whom she thought in fact far more attractive somehow than Phin.

Bee, for her part, blushed like a little tomato when Phin said she might be his new best friend. She wasn't sure what to make of it. Her romantic side hoped it might be the beginning of something deeper, her nervous side hoped it wouldn't. She was too dumbfounded and uncertain to do anything but smile through her blush.

Brittany gave a happy laugh.

"Oh I see," she said and nodded. "You do look cute together." She winked and then went on: "Yes, I'm from London too. Well, originally I'm from a little farther but I've lived in London now for so long I don't think it really even sounds from my accent." She looked now at Luke with a coy smile that seemed to implicate worlds of interest. "And how about you, great silent one? Don't tell me you're from merry old England as well? Oi, I adore your belt! You must be a man of good taste."

There she went, flirting off with Luke as much as she might have flirted with Phin. She wasn't seriously interested in either, but well, a girl's gotta have fun, eh?


Cara had listened intently to Moki's story and was most relieved to hear how quickly Chip had recooped. When Moki suggested they go out to meet the new people, she smiled and nodded, happy now that the whole water scene seemed to be in order.

"Sure!" she said and eyed Luke and Brittany, neither of whom she knew, curiously.

Phin grinned. "Why thank you." He have Bee a little squeeze and leaned closer to her. The girl's thoughts were unknown to him. In his mind they were just taking place in some friendly flirting.

A devious smirk slithered onto Luke's lips. He could tell that Brittany's attention was turning toward him and away from Phin. This was good news indeed. "I'm afraid not." Luke shook his head. No, he definitely wasn't from England. But he did have good fashion sense. "I am." Modesty was lost on the boy.

Now poor Bee knew what to do or say even more. Did that mean Phin was interested in him? The concept of innocent flirt was rather lost on Bright Eyes, it had always eluded her. As she didn't know how to react, she chose not to say anything and just keep with whatever Phin was doing or saying. His tightening hold on her made a rush of excitement go through her though, much like on the early days of her and Lancer's dating. She was rather surprised she had not lost that spark.

Brittany was unaware of any devious thoughts behind Luke's friendly smile. She laughed when he so unapologetically accepted her compliment.

"I like your style," she noted with a wink, then laughed.

Luke smirked and winked. "You're a smart girl." He could tell Brittany was just a shameless flirt, much like himself, and that she wasn't really interested in either of the boys. This pleased him.

As if with the intent of ruining Bee's night, Lancer walked up behind Luke soundlessly. He leaned down and placed his lips by the boy's ear. "You're such a slut." His voice was low enough so that only Luke could hear him.

Luke's eyes flashed as he turned to look at the taller boy. "And where the fuck have you been?" Truth be told, he was crazy about Lancer, but he knew better than to tell anyone.

"I was taking care of a few things." He smirked. It wasn't until now that he really looked at who his friend had been speaking to. He was a bit shocked, to say the least. Seeing Bee made him mentally flinch. He already felt bad for the way she had reacted to him earlier. Mustering up a smile, he nodded to the girl and then to Phin. Once his eyes were on Brittany, he raised a brow. "You weren't going to introduce me? You have horrible manners." A smirk was thrown toward Luke.

"Forgive me." Luke grinned. "Brittany, this is Lancer. Lancer, this is Brittany."

Lancer donned a charming smile and nodded his head in greeting. "Pleased to meet you."

Bee was seriously beginning to think Lancer was trying to ruin her evening. Didn't he see how she had reacted to him earlier? Did he have to come do it again? Only barely Bright Eyes managed to hold herself together and only smile politely to Lancer. But she still didn't say anything. She was just hoping for a miracle. Maybe the other girls would come over and mingle. She didn't want to look like she was running away.

[[ahh the angst]]


Brittany, for her part, was more than delighted that another apparently stylish boy stepped in. She was completely oblivious to any bad feeling between Bee and Lancer. Instead, she focused on smiling to Lancer and coyly tilting her head to the side as she made a short curtsy.

"Enchanté," she replied with an amused smile. "My, every new boy I see is better looking than the previous! Though between the two of you, I guess I might call it a tie!" She gave a cheerful laugh.
