Phineas wandered the streets of downtown. He wasn't quite sure what he wanted to do, or where he wanted to go. He just had to get out of that apartment, it was giving him the creeps. Or maybe it was that damn dream he had.
Shaking his head in an attempt to clear it, Phin glanced up. Somehow he had made his way to the busiest cross section in the downtown area. Stores and restaurants littered the streets, blinding people with their brightly lit signs.
Where to go... Phin shoved his hands in his coat pockets. It was getting chilly out now that seasons had changed. But he didn't mind. For some reason, he felt at home out in nature.
The one feeling he wasn't at home with, though, was loneliness. Ever since he moved to Meadowbrook, he had been alone. Sure everyone loved him, but he never could bring himself to get close to any of them. It was something he regretted terribly.
Looking from side to side, Phin hoped to see a familiar face. Too bad the odds of that happening were slim to none.

Ace's eyes were constantly moving around him, watching everyone walk by, as he leaned back against the brick wall of Iano's Bakery, his cell phone against his ear as he listened to his cousin Irina berate him for the hundredth time about not calling her first, since it was her birthday. He couldn't help but smile as he listened to her yell at him, knowing from her slurred words that she was very drunk. He figured that must be the doing of their cousin Etti, given that he could overhead her continually telling Irina what to yell at him for next. It had been going on already for fifteen minutes and he could only imagine what his cell phone bill would be this month. Why his cousins couldn't call their home phone, instead of his cell phone, never ceased to amaze him.
Finally Irina's yelling stopped and she had the time to tell him that she missed him and wanted him to come back to visit before he heard a thump and Etti came on the phone, laughing that Irina had fallen off the couch. Etti echoed Irina's thoughts before finally saying goodbye and Ace flipped his phone shut, shaking his head in amusement as he slipped the phone back into his bag.
Pushing himself off the wall he stood with the crowd waiting to cross Queen street. His eyes still roaming and a smile still on his lips, he spotted someone familiar on the other side of the street. One of the new kids, Phin. The boy seemed like a nice kid, his story certainly had Ace intrigued. Sometimes he wondered what life would be like if he could just forget his own past. Pushing the thought aside, he decided to tempt fate like a few others and cross the street before the light turned, dodging around a car speeding to make it while the light was still green. Getting to the other side he came up beside Phin, elbowing him lightly and smiling.
"Hey Phin." He wondered what the other was up to at the moment, if he had plans or if he was just roaming randomly like he himself was.

Phin slowly turned to look at Ace. The boy had startled him somewhat, and it showed. A charming smile pushed away the expression of shock.
"Hello, Ace." Phin nodded his head in greeting. He had never really spoken to the other boy before, but he knew who he was, none the less. Then again, everyone at Meadowbrook seemed to know who he was.
"What brings you here on this fine day?" Not being able to fight it, Phin reverted back to his oh so charmingly friendly self. It was gift.

Ace grinned at Phin's question. "Well, you see that big building down there?" He pointed at his apartment building, one of the taller buildings in the area. "I live there." He shrugged his shoulders non-chalantly, "and for once I actually don't have any prior obligations, so I was just wandering around shopping. Well actually I was just on the phone, getting yelled at by my drunk cousin because I didn't call her today on her birthday." He smiled to Phin, then looked around. "So, you have any plans? Have you gotten much of a chance to get to know the city yet? I could show you some interesting places if you've got nothing to do." In reality, even though he sometimes wished for days with nothing to do, he was already feeling a little antsy with nothing to do and no one to be around. It would be nice to get to know Phin better. The boy didn't really know much about him, so he spend some time just acting naturally, without worrying about anything. Phin wasn't exactly threatening, so he didn't anticipate any problems arising.

"Impressive." Phin winked at Ace. He wasn't the type to get jealous over materialistic things. Which seemed like it would come in handy with the other boy.
Phin's eyes never left Ace until he was done speaking. Pale eyes glanced over the city. "No, no, and that's sounds great." Phineas didn't worry if the blonde would understand the way he answered questions.
"Have you lived here your entire life?" Already his mind was bouncing from one thing to the next. He'd have to make a mental note to try and stay on track. That was such a problem for him.

Ace smiled when Phin answered, content that he had company for a few hours. "No I haven't. I was actually born in Sweden, lived there for seven years while my parents finished university; they were very young when they had me. We moved here after they got married and my father took a job with his uncle's company. But they split three years later and now it's just mom and I. We get along amazingly well though, so I'm happy." He'd heard that Phin apparently didn't know much about his past, so he didn't bother asking. "So how do you like it here so far? Where do you live, anyway?" Ace decided to just walk along Queen street, with it's many interesting shops and restaurants, until he got a better idea of what sort of thing interested Phin.

"I must say, you have had a very interesting life." Phin smiled and walked alongside the blonde. He was glad to finally be having an actual conversation with the boy.
"I like it. I mean, it's different from what I'm used to, but in a good way." Phin's eyes trailed over to a girl who was scoping him out. A simple wink of the eye caused the girl to turn bright red. Not even being affected by this, Phin turned his attention back to Ace. "I live over by the Art District."
[You know the streets better than I do. lol Just throw a street name to Phin's home. ;)]

(We can say he told Ace he lives on Bay Street; I'm going to be re-doing the maps soon anyway so we can mark them all with everyone's home:)
"Bay, huh? Not too far from me really, just a few blocks down the street..." Ace's voice trailed off a little as they passed by Strange Lands, his personal favourite art store. The paintings and sculptures were so unique and captivating, they already had four pieces from the store in their condo. He looked back at Phin and smiled. "So, what do you do when you're not in class, Phin? You probably know by now that I spend the majority of my time playing soccer, aside from that I like shopping for clothes, art, and furniture, going to the spa, and going dancing. What a life." He winked at Phin, hoping the other boy had some interests that would come out.

"You like talking about yourself, don't you?" The words just rolled off of Phin's tongues as if they were nothing. And to him, they didn't mean anything. It was just an observation. "There isn't really anything I do on a regular basis." Phin glanced around the busy street, making it seem as though he completely forgot what he was going to say.
After a moment of silence, Phin started talking again. "I love going hiking, swimming, rock climbing.... I haven't been able to do much of any of that lately. I also like playing sports and listening to music... singling. Basically whatever gives me the most attention." He looked at Ace. "I'm an attention hog." Phin smiled and looked ahead of him as they walked.
[His true personality is starting to shine! lmao Poor Ace.]

Ace grinned, "yeah that's what happens when you're in the spotlight and other people talk about you all the time, you tend to pick up their bad habits." He didn't mind Phin's lapse in conversation as he wasn't getting the impression that it was due to his disinterest, he just seemed to be a little naturally scattered. It was a little endearing. "Singing, huh? I sing, no one really ever hears me though. I figure that I'm already amazing at so many other things, if I showcase anymore talents people will probably start to get a little pissed off at me." He made a mental note to remember everything Phin was telling him, bringing it up later when he needed it. "I actually just went camping with a friend last weekend, we spent one of the days just hiking in the woods. There's a really great wooded area out about an hour, there's a really serene waterfall out in the woods there. If you ever want to see it sometime, let me know. And if you like swimming, I should introduce you to Moki. She lives on the island, her parents own the resort out there. She pretty much lives in the water. You ever try water-skiing? Pretty fun." He thought Moki and Phin would make good friends, they shared the same air of distracted innocence. Even though Phin seemed to speak rather bluntly, there was no trace of annoyance or sarcasm. Just honesty.

"I already piss people off. But it's usually only the jealous boyfriend of some girl who won't shut up about me." There was a look of concentration on the boy's face. "It's really annoying."
There was barely a pause between sentences as Phin jumped from one subject to another. "That sounds awesome. I'd love to go sometime." He looked at the blonde. "To both the island and the woods."

"Awesome, I don't spend as much time out camping as I want to, unfortunately not too many of my friends enjoy the outdoors as much as I do. They don't mind the occasional weekend camping trip, but then they usually just want to hang out around the campsite or go to the beach; I like hiking though. There's no distractions." He momentarily looked away from Phin, noticing a trio of girls watching them. He looked back at the other boy, a grin on his lips. "And no jealous boyfriends of girls with x-ray eyes."
They walked a bit further down the street before turning the corner, Ace had a destination in mind. "I'll call Moki this weekend, maybe tomorrow, see what she's up to. I'm sure she won't mind us dropping by if you want to visit this weekend. I haven't seen her in over a month actually."

"Yeah, I've yet to meet someone who's comfortable with being outside all of the time. And I definitely haven't found anyone who's willing to go sky diving or bungee jumping with me."
Phin also looked at the girls and smiled. "That would be nice." In his opinion, girls were nice to look at, but they caused too much shit for his taste.
As Ace mentioned the island and Moki, Phin smiled as his eyes returned to the blonde. "Hey, I'm up for it if things work out."

"Awesome, you'll love her, she's not like the majority of girls. She'd actually probably go sky diving with you if you actually want someone to go. I'd be up for bunjee jumping, but sky diving is a little too sketchy for me. If I wasn't counting on my legs to make me millions in professional soccer, I'd probably be willing to give it a try." His eyes scanning the street ahead he saw the little cafe he'd had in mind to sit and chat with Phin. Looking back at the other boy he grinned. "Have you eaten lately, hungry at all? I thought we'd stop by a favourite little cafe of mine, called Friction. It's got a bit of an African vibe." He stopped in front of the cafe and it did indeed have the vibe, complete with rainforest decor inside. "So what do you think, feel like sitting and having something to eat or drink and just talk?"

"She sounds pretty amazing." Phin smiled. "Ah yes, sky diving... I don't know, there's just some sort of element to it that I love. To feel like you're flying..." He allowed himself to trail off, not quite sure where he was going with that thought.
Blue and green eyes trailed over the cafe's entrance. "I'm always hungry, and I never shut up..." As Phin studied the building, he took on a childish expression. That youthful vibe some people picked up on was in full flourish.
