Starlight smiled while moving a little to allow him to get up. She raised her hand and ruffled his hair playfully.
"Yeah, you're going to be a big soccer star," she said with a laugh. "Make sure to give everybody in school autographs so they can show off when you get all famous."
She felt good when he said she'd make a good lawyer. It was one of her dreams, anyway.
"So do you want to go to the library or will we stay here?" she asked.

He smiled when she mentioned him being a big soccer star, and especially when she ruffled his hair up. "Don't worry, you guys will all be getting not just signed pictures, but personalized pictures. Just so people know that we really were friends and that you're not all just a bunch of people making it up." He stood up and held a hand out to her to pull her up. "I figure we might as well go to the library, get some work done then I'll take you out for supper. Sound like a plan?" He was surprised at how quickly he was reverting back to when they'd been together, but he couldn't help it. It was a nice feeling.

Starlight took his hand gladly and got up from the bed, smiling. It sounded like a very good plan indeed.
"Sounds great," she said happily. "I'll probably be pretty hungry by then. I hardly got any breakfast this morning at all, and it's going to be some time since lunch before we've got anything done."
She didn't stop to question how familiar they were now, as opposed to the hostile situation just a few hours ago. She didn't want to think about it. All that mattered was that everything was good now.

"Excellent, it's a plan then! I love living downtown, there's just so much more down here to do. All these awesome little restaurants, and all within walking distance. Best thing mom ever did, moving down here. I can't exactly run to school anymore though, a little too far. But it's nice to get up early and run down the waterfront every morning, it's beautiful. Mind you I do kind of miss living right next to Don Valley, but those are the sacrifices we have to make." They went out to the front area again, slipping on their shoes and heading out of the building through the front doors, standing in the warm late afternoon air. Slipping an arm around her shoulders, Ace looked around at all the people walking down the street, some heading home from work, some heading out to work, some just shopping or hanging out. Downtown was definitely where he belonged.
