As the door closed behind them, Arielle smiled, her hand finding his. The curb played fair, not allowing for anything to find its way into the boy's path. Things just might have been looking up.

"You did good." A soft kiss graced the teen's cheek. He was a perfectly good catch in the blonde's mind. Absolutely wonderful.

Rook blushed. He could feel the hot red on his cheeks. But when he looked at Arielle's smiling face - suddenly it didn't matter. He smiled hopefully.

"Yeah?" he asked, eager like a puppy. "You think... they liked me?"

"What?" A bright smile. "You couldn't tell?" She snuggled in closer to the boy. "You're perfect Rooker. They can see that."
