Princess tried not to laugh as Muriel excitedly bounced around, thinking to herself how cute the girl was acting. It was a nice change from how she normally was at home. "Excellent, then I'll be sure to drop by often and verbally smack some sense into the brats." She smiled and looked back out at the road, merging into the traffic that was heading downtown. "Well, first we're going to find parking, then I'm going to call Sparky and have her meet us so we can go accessory shopping. But before that we have a special stop to make. A bit of a surprise I have for you." She looked back at Muriel and winked, the idea that had been formulating in her head for the past few minutes only heightening her own excitement.

Muriel looked at Princess with an intent, curious look when she spoke of a surprise. She had to stifle the instant urge of attacking her with questions. Though she was eager to find out what she was talking about, and got very excited, she didn't want to overdo it. Her eyes, however, sparkled as she looked at the older girl and she shifted a little on the seat, making it apparent that she was suddenly horribly curious.
"What surprise?" she asked anxiously, though she was sure Princess wouldn't tell her before they were there.

Princess couldn't keep the grin from her face as she watched Muriel try to contain her excitement. If she was honest, the one thing she had grown to enjoy the most about her relationship with Rowan was formulating the friendship with Muriel. It was a little intoxicating, having a kid who looked up to you and took joy out of anything you decided to do for them. Maybe if she'd had a younger sibling growing up, she never would have ended up going down the road she'd been down. Maybe.
"Ah ah, a surprise can't be a surprise if I tell you about it! But let's just say that it'll really complete your outfit. In a way you probably wouldn't have realistically imagined as possible." She winked at Muriel before looking back at the traffic, taking an off-ramp that led to Yonge Street. "Well then, the parking lot is just down this road, so soon enough, you will have your surprise." Princess looked over at Muriel one final time before looking back out at traffic and waiting for an opportunity to take a left turn into the parking lot. She was really looking forward to spoiling the girl, she just hoped the rest of her family wouldn't be upset over it.

Muriel pretended a fake pout, but it soon melted into an excited smile. She looked out the window, looking quite anxious though she tried to remain calm.
[[ahhh terribly sorry for this shortness... but Muriel is just kinda too anxious for the surprise to make much small talk]]

Princess pulled into the parking lot, finding a spot and pulling her car into it quickly. She shifted into park and tuned off the car, turning to look at Muriel, a grin on her face. "Alright then, time to go get the surprise." She got out of the car, walked over to the ticket machine and bought three hours of time, walking back to leave the slip in her car.
She nodded her head for Muriel to follow her, taking out her cell phone and quickly calling Sparky. She explained the situation to her friend and agreed to meet her a few blocks up after they'd finished with the store they were headed to, giving Sparky enough time to walk down from her building. She returned her cell phone to her purse and looked down at Muriel. "Excellent, Sparky'll meet us after we're done here so we can shop for your accessories. But first, surprise time."
Princess smiled devilishly before stopping in front of a store and holding the door open for Muriel. "After you." They entered a sporting store, the front area of which was filled with hunting equipment - rifles, camouflage clothing, that sort of thing. But Princess led Muriel to the rear right corner of the store, wondering when the short girl would first be able to see where they were going. Princess could already see the wall lined with different sized bows, wondering herself what kind of size a girl of Muriel's age would shoot with.
They now cleared the rows of hunting gear and walked up to the counter, behind which a middle-aged man was standing, watching them curiously. Princess smiled confidently and walked up to the counter, throwing a glance at Muriel before looking back at the man. "Give us everything she'll need to start archery lessons, including the lessons." She smiled sweetly and looked back at Muriel, wondering how the gir would react upon hearing the news.

Muriel got out of the car along with Princess, closing the door after her carefully. She followed the older girl with a curious look in her eyes. She had decided that Princess was way cooler than her mother. It would be good, she thought, if Princess and Rowan would get married. That way she'd become part of the family.
Muriel, herself, wasn't planning to get married. She didn’t want to leave her family, for one thing, and secondly, she thought boys were, as a species, rather dumb animals. There were exceptions, of course, but living with three brothers had really done nothing to strengthen her desires of getting a male for herself. As for girls, Muriel had thought about this option, but it had never began to appeal to her. She liked the company of girls as friends, but there was nothing more to it than that. Of course, she was still young and knew that she might change her mind yet. For the moment, however, she didn’t plan on relationships.
She smiled when Princess led her to the store, but the smile gave way to a surprised expression as they closed in on the hunting section. Her eyes began to gleam. Was Princess going to do what she suspected? She could hardly contain herself as she followed her to the desk, and when hearing what she said to the salesperson, her eyes went very wide.
“Lessons?” she repeated, her entire face beginning to glow with excitement. “Aye, really? But… but I can’t pay fer those.” She blushed a little.

Princess grinned and shook her head. "Don't be silly, I'm paying for them! I've been wanting to do something special for you lately, thought this was the perfect opportunity for me. After all, you are kinda like a little sister to me now." She winked at the girl before returning her attention to the sales clerk, who had taken down a bow from the wall, which was already strung. It was apparently a floor model used to let the buyer get a feel for the weapon.
"Alright dear, why don't you see how this feels." The man gestured to Muriel, showing her where to put her hands and how to stand, wanting to see if it the model would require any proper sizing or if she ought to be able to handle it as is.
Princess watched in excitement, the look on Muriel's face having definitely been worth it. She'd wanted to bring the girl out herself without asking her mother. She knew there was no way she would have been "allowed" to so much as even buy Muriel the bow and arrows, the girl's mother definitely would not have allowed the lessons. But now that they were going to be paid for, she couldn't rightly say no, could she? Princess would even offer to take Muriel to her lessons, if her mother was too busy. Anything to keep a smile on the girl's face.

Muriel grinned now so widely she hardly had enough face on her to contain the smile. She hurried to take the bow and test it in her hands. She pulled the string and tried it out, and together with the clerk they sorted out the best bow for her. When that was done and she had given the clerk all the information he needed for her lessons, Muriel turned toward Princess and suddenly threw her arms around her and hugged her tightly.
“Thankye sae much!” she exclaimed happily. “This is th’best gift ever!” She looked up at her with her eyes sparkling. “Ye know, I hope ye and Rowie get married, sae ye’ll never gae away.”
She hadn’t meant to say it; but when she had, she didn’t feel embarrassed about it. After all, it was her honest opinion, and she wasn’t aware of any problems in the relationship between Princess and Rowan.

*Hehe, no problem at all, and now Princess is feeling all guilty, but happy and guilty at least;)*
Princess handed over her credit card once Muriel finished, barely handing it to the clerk before Muriel rushed her. As she felt the girl's arms wind around her waist Princess couldn't help but smile and hug her back. After all, this was the first time in her life when she had actually done something of significance for someone else. She wanted to enjoy it.
When Muriel mention she and Rowan getting married, though, Princess had to pause and think of what to say. Halloween was only a few days now and Muriel obviously had no idea that she was going to end the relationship. She had to think fast, say something that wouldn't raise the girl's suspicions either now or after the break up.
Looking down at her, Princess smiled and rested a hand on the top of Muriel's head, smoothing her hair back almost like a mother would do. "Well, it's a little early for wedding bells. But I just want you to know that whatever happens between your brother and I, it won't affect us. After all I don't think of you as my boyfriend's little sister, I think of you as my own little sister. No guy is ever going to change that." She meant the words honestly, hoping that Muriel would believe them. She also hoped that Muriel wouldn't be angry when she broke up with Rowan. From what she knew of him so far, Princess was expecting Rowan to not say much about the relationship to his family. He wasn't the type of guy who would say anything mean about a girl, no matter how badly she'd treated him. She just hoped she had gauged him correctly.

[[lol aww she’s so mean to him. I’m pretty excited to see what’ll happen with Muriel and Princess though. I think I’ll play out the two of them while everyone else is at the party, or something. I don’t think Rowan will want to go to the party after the break-up. Oh and I replied to the vipers-thingy about Halloween by the way. ^-^ I realise now though that if we won’t play through the assembly then we’ll have to talk over how the break-up would have exactly went.]]
Muriel looked up and smiled happily as she disentangled her arms from around Princess. She had no doubt in the world that her words might have been boding ill. She was too happy to get suspicious.
“Aye,” she said happily. “I’ve always wanted a sister.”
[[ohh I’m all out of things to say now. Do we wanna go any farther than this? It’s pretty much established, I guess, what happened. *shrug*]]
